It would be nice but I doubt it, that seemed to be about the going rate everywhere I found them. Also AAP was $25 cheaper than HJE for me when I ordered all three flex ratchets. It's too bad AAP doesn't sell the standard ones.

Matco 88 3/8" rebuild kit I bought was $17 plus $5 for shipping, I bought them from a Matco dealer on GJ. The Armstrong site lists them at $28.07.

Looks like it might have missed a grinding/finishing step or something.

Below is how I ordered them, I'm not sure about pricing everywhere now but at the time it was the cheapest way I found to buy them. Occasionally you can find better AAP coupon codes. Love mine btw. I have no idea how long it will take for the 88's to show up at AAP though.

I use the Hanson style ones from HF. Recently I got a couple magnetic peg type rails from VIM tools and I really like. I've been think about switching over to the rails. You can see them in the pic below, the blue and red ones with the metal strips on top.

I had the same problem with some 3/8's ones that I tried to lube. I took them apart and cleaned them, reassembled with some oil and spun them on a socket until they quit locking up and reversing. I haven't had any problems since.

I would look into one of the sets of Channellocks that Home Depot and Lowes sells. The price per item works out enter in the sets. For wire strippers I'd buy these Armstrong ones off Ebay. They are the same as the CMAN pros I have and they are great wore strippers for a good price...
