    SnapOn socks, any place cheaper?

Called SO today to try and order a few pair, the lady I spoke with said they are only available through a representative, you can't order them over the phone or online. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Cripe Distributing (new) Web site returns on Jan. 22nd

Never had a problem with Cripe and I've order from them a few times. Some of the wrenches I got were scratched and dinged but I can't complain for the price which is pennies on the dollar for some of the larger full polish wrenches. You just have to keep in mind a lot of what they sell has been...

    Favorite STICK Electrode?

I really like 7018, it makes great looking welds and flows well plus you can weld just about anything with it. Root pass was generally 6010 until they quit stocking it at work. Now they have 6011, I liked the 6010 much better.

Looking for a ratchet with internal socket storage (ultra-portable set)

I understand your point. It's a bit ratchet though not a quad box wrench that's why I like it. It has an adapter so you can use regular quarter inch drive sockets/extensions on it and also use it for all the bits that come with it.

Looking for a ratchet with internal socket storage (ultra-portable set)

I know, I know, it's not what you're looking for but I have to suggest it anyway. I really like this gearwrench set and it's small enough to fit in a pants pocket (maybe not comfortably for extended periods but nonetheless it will fit)...

    Channellock 483 BigAzz V Jaw @ Sears $17.95

I went round and round with Sears for months trying to get the rest of my order that they partially shipped to me but charged full price. I ended up calling my CC card company and explaining what happened and that I only wanted a partial refund for items not received. They were more than happy...

Alternatives to the "Red Lube of Love" for ratchets

Same here, I use it in everything, from 36 tooth ratchets to dual 80's and armstrong 88's. Only ratchets I ever had a problem with it in were the GW 84 tooth ratchets, but those really don't like anything but thin oil.

Brake caliper wind back tool set opinions?

It's a great kit, I don't have any complaints with mine and I would buy it again.

    Let's see your toolbox.

HF 56", just a few of the drawers. Most of what's in there is courtesy of GJ and the Hot Deals section. I went from that black/red CMAN (most of it is still in the box) set on the right to what you see below. I've got a CMAN 26 inch stack, that I had before this, it now holds doubles and less...

How much torque before a 1-7/8" crowfoot starts to spread?

I went with the snapon for $19, seemed like a good deal to me. The Sunex was $15 iirc.

How much torque before a 1-7/8" crowfoot starts to spread?

Awesome, that's the info I was looking for. I found some Sunex and Snap-on for less than $20 on eBay. For less than $20 it's not worth it to me to cut and weld a socket/wrench. Thanks guys!

How much torque before a 1-7/8" crowfoot starts to spread?

Now that's a good idea I hadn't thought off. If I can't find anything relatively inexpensive I'll do that. Thanks. Another good idea I should have thought of. Off to look for cheap wrench/socket.

How much torque before a 1-7/8" crowfoot starts to spread?

Will a regular crowfoot take 120 pounds of torque without spreading/slipping? How about a flare nut crowfoot? I need to torque a nut that is 5 inches or so down on a shaft and am looking for something to torque it with. I found some deep sockets but not any that were deep enough. I'm probably...

Someone near NJ needs this welding table!

Sure it would, the fork lift I drive every day is rated for 6150 pounds, I couldn't even tell you how many times I've picked up and moved 10k with it (yes things sized bigger than that table). However the rear of the truck does get light. Any more than that and you bounce when the load rocks or...

Re: Super-Exciting News for SK Day!! 9/23 Or maybe look into using USPS flat rate boxes. Shipping charges have killed an Epsteins order more than once for me.
