Chain Hoist - Help Choosing Brand and Capacity

I have no clue what brand mine is or the weight rating, but I would suggest getting a bigger one than you think you need. You never know when you'll end up needing one...

    Slab thickness and stength

I have 4in of concrete in my shop (6in where the lift is) and regularly drive my 9,000lb skid loader, dump trucks, ect in all the bays and don't have any cracks. shop is 8 years old. IMO anything more than 4in is overkill for a garage unless your putting a lift in.

    Electric heat in bigger shop

During the winter it's between $200-$250 but I also have a 20x40x8 living quarters built in the shop that has it's own mini split for heating/cooling. two fridges, stove, lights, neon signs, ect. so it's hard to say how much it costs just for the heat.

    Need a Water Heater

I drain my water heater once a year and fill it with a couple gallons of vinegar for 12hrs then drain. eats up all the calcium built up at the bottom of the tank. I have hard water so this may not be necessary for some people.

Minimum size for 2 car useable?

I would figure in an extra 4 foot of width if you want a lift and plan on using it.

    Electric heat in bigger shop

I have an electric furnace in my 40x60x14 shop with standard insulation, It works great but it's not the cheapest option to run. I also have cheap electric rates. I hope once I get a ceiling in it will make it much more affordable to run. Right now I keep it at 40 degrees unless I'm in there...

Mittler Bros Bench Mount English Wheel

Cant say anything about that particular machine, but I live about a mile from their factory and know multiple people that work there. From everything they have told me about the company/products I wouldn't be afraid to buy anything they make.

    Garage refrigerator conundrum

I had the same problem, my fix was to install a furnace in the shop that keeps it at 40 degrees when I'm not in there working. This is by far the best fix, its also the most expensive lol

    40x60 shouse

I'd say as long as you don't get to fancy you could do it. you could even leave the shop portion gravel for now to save a nice chunk of money.

    40x60 shouse

My brother put up a 40x60x14 pole barn with 20x40 living quarters (which I now own and live in) in 2012 for around $120k. he did a lot himself and finished the living quarters nicer than I would have.

    Roll around battery charger

I've had this charger on order for almost 3 months now, getting a little frustrated. I'm pretty patient, and I understand stuff happens with suppliers/parts but I still cant get an expected ship date because their supplier had a bad run of a gauge I think. I'm about to ask for my money back and...
