Study guides will be no good for most of us. Brain implants will be the only answer! This is simply the best single thread I've ever found on the internet and I've read probably more than my allotment. Tim

Simply awesome on the LED installation! I use them frequently on my motorcycles, but hadn't thought of sign illumination. Thanks for the tip! I have a traffic light in my garage that I might try the LED trick in to replace its incandescent lights.

Thomas, I found another contender for the Center of the Universe: Wallace, ID. They even have manhole covers with the inscription. I'll post a picture of commemorative Tshirt in a day or two. Tim (still questing for the center of the universe).

For those who don't know, Gerlach is home of the "Burning Man" festival each year when some 50,000 people come and build a temporary city on the playa.

Thomas, I've been out riding a couple of my motorcycles over the past month (logged right at 10k miles) and came across a threat to your claim about what's the center of the universe: This is still the best thread on any site I've ever visited. Tim

Thomas, I've been out doing some long distance riding in a motorcycle rally in the west and have seen at least two of Gus' cousins. But Gus is clearly in the best shape. Sorry, I don't have any pictures. Tim

Jeremy, nice work on the shop. I like the way you are dreaming re: the land purchases. Will you be at the IBA National meet in Denver? Timmer

The photos were wonderful. I especially liked the description of the sewing process. I have wondered about that for some time when I encountered the threads on spines of various books. Thanks for more education.

    Dimple Dies

When I went to order, the additional shipping cost was about 50% of the price of just the productss. I'll pass for now and give up my spot. They are certainly great looking items.

    The "pedestrian" garage

Paul, wouldn't a little cover over those intakes be a good idea? You wouldn't want anything falling down in there. Great job on the fence salvage. Tim Burien, WA

Thomas, your experience with the outlets is why I put mine over 4' from the floor so that a 4x8 sheet wouldn't cover them. It's worked well for me. I'm still in awe of what you have and are discovering and sharing with us. Tim

    30 x 40 Garage build

When I built my garage, I installed a large eye bolt in the ridge to serve as a pulling point plus the ridge was re-inforced for use in pulling actions. I would vote for leaving the loft open for storage (especially large, bulky and light items). A fitted tarp or banner could be used to close...
