    Heating a 24x48 insulated shop

Not that this is efficient, but it's easy. Work well in my 2.5 bay insulated garage. Takes 15 - 30 minutes to warm the place up & keeps it in the 50s pretty easily. I have this patio umbrella heater suspended from the ceiling with a small piece of pc's. This one is at Costco.

Jump packs. Wich one do you choose?

Same one we use at a marina, where it might be expected to start 5 or 6 boats a day. We've had hem almost a year now.

    Damn this gas today..

At work we winterized over 1500 boats last year. We use Startrons fuel stabilizer & never saw anything like this. This year, the goal was 1800 boats & will be reached this week.

Adroid Scan Tools : Torque Pro vs. BlueDriver

Got the $5 version of Torque Pro to display the transmission temp of my 05 Avalanche today. I had to load the GM PIDs & it worked easily.

Can someone explain how to install car CD player in toolbox

Built one in a cooler a while back. An amp, pair of marine speakers, Bluetooth adapter, AGM battery & a Battery Tender. Then play music off your phone. Works great. Several websites that cater to this kind of build. Google it.

    Good creeper?

Wow. I'm about 210 now, been as high as 235. My HF creeper has to be close to 10 yrs old. Doesn't sag at all. Good luck

Who makes the best gas can?

I just modify the Blitz cans with the old style nozzle & vent. Works great. The race cans won't fit under the tonneau cover of my Avalanche. I use the jiggler to siphon the gas into the boat rather than using the nozzle. Much easier.

    DIY Garage Redo

Looks great. So where are you going to store all your other stuff? ie; camping gear, lawn/beach chairs, lawn mower, pressure washer, snow blower, etc. I'd have to have a whole other garage if I was going to get rid of all the shelving where your walls are bare.

    Key operated garage door switch?

Not sure on the keyed switch. But I have the same wireless keypad opener. When you enter your code, then press the Enter button, and it doesn't work......try pressing the Enter button a second time. No clue why this works, but it works a lot on mine. Another little trick with that...

    MAG lites

My old D cell Mag Lite corroded so bad I couldn't get the battery cap off. The last 2 AA lights I owned I converted to LED. They still don't come close to the brightness of the cheap Amazon Cree AA flashlights.

    Smart Home devices

After changing a bunch of lights in our house to LEDs, we noticed a drop in the range of our garage door openers. I tried putting incandescent bulbs back in the garage but there was no improvement in the remotes range. I didn't troubleshoot it much more than that so I'm not 100% sure the LEDs...

Building a shop - how much room to back a trailer in?

Depends on the width of the door. Wider door & that ? distance can be less. Assuming an 8' wide door, I would imagine ? should be around 35'. Single axle or tandem? Flat paved driveway? If so maybe using a trailer dolly would shorten it to 25'.

The World's Most Expensive John Deere Lawnmower

I've lived by train tracks before & it's no picnic. In our case, the tracks were only 50' or so from out back fence & there was only 1 or 2 trains per day going by at very slow speed. Each time it took 10 or 15 minutes for the train to pass & any pictures on the wall that were hung with a single...

Where/ How do you store your winter/ summer tires?

I got tired of storing winter & summer tires, taking up too much room in the garage, polished rims getting destroyed in the winter, etc. So I run ATs on powdercoated rims on my truck. And siped all seasons on powdercoated rims my wife's car. The tires get good mileage & traction & the rims...
