So decided to run a 300mm wide concrete perimeter edging so I can bolt the frames to in the next few days, clad the sides and put the roof sheeting on. This will mean the concrete floor can be put down undercover. Form work was 9x2" planks and basically anything else I could find, going 8" deep...
wow.. great space you got there, wish the specialist suppliers of metal garages over here could do something different like yours, all they do is a box with duo pitch. I wanted a mono-pitch on mine.. "NO sorry, not set up for that design" was the reply.
worked out some costs and concrete would be cheaper and speedier to do. At least I'll be guaranteed a better quality of concrete finish when there will be a roof and sides around it while pouring and finishing the surface

Weather here has been very damp and progress on the build slow, but have made all the frames up in readiness to be bolted down.

Thought i'd post a pic of our collection, although the e30 sport, massy 35, ferguson t20 and a mini clubman are missing. The bus, lorries and tractors are housed in a different shed. Would love them all under one roof, but cant see that happening
I'm in need of more storage space for my classic cars, as they are parked in the garage used for everyday work and they really need a purpose made garage for them. I've been a collector / restorer of the old mini for a number of years and although i've sold a few I've held onto three models. Now...
Your floor finish looks really good. When the fella done mine he had just finished the last powerfloat pass when the heavens opened and a downpour took off the smooth surface. He never managed to get it covered in time
