yes 2x6 studs and outside sheathing question..I saw somewhere folks were going vertical in the corners picking up the top n bottom plates. I can do this but need to buy super dooper long 12 footers. I was thinking if i did blocking w 4x8 it might mimic the strength
Yes 10 foot 6 inch wall. Double top AND bottom plates to get me my 9 foot door.
I thought to add wind strength to my corners I could nail on vertically a 10’ 6” x 4’ sheet. The 12 foot x 4 foot osb is costly but wondering if worth it?
OR would blocking do the same thing w 4x8 sheets????
There's some online stores that sell heat trace for underground pipes. Heat-Line and Heating elements plus to name a few. $600 and $900. Also thinking about 1/2 inch pex then run hot water couple times a winter to melt any frozen rain water...then blow it out.
Anyone familiar with heat trace? I am thinking bout running 90 feet inside a 4 inch schedule 40 pvc, that's only under the ground bout a foot on average in southern wi. Thanks Which brand and type have you used and results?
Yep me my shovel n a wheelbarrow. 2 weeks.. bout 2 hours a day. I don't like arguing w contractors. You want it perfect and the way you want it done.... do it yourself.
Never standing water at that lowest spot where I put the basin. I don't want a swale either. Slope .25"/ft Will add cleanable...
