Floors got done last week. I see I forgot to turn the back area's lights on in the front facing garage pic. Front facing bays: Side Entry bays:

    Machinists level.

The only thing I've ever used serious levels on is this...getting 3 pieces of slate, 300 lbs each, flat and level when everything holding them up is compressible is a bit of an art form. Not harder than and definately not as critical as some stuff mentioned by others...just very different.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

It was a joke, clearly not his garage in the picture. But it is a what did you do in your garage thread...hence the funny.

Congratulations, I'm surprised she agreed to hold the reception in your garage 😄

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Front pads and tire rotation on the truck. (No, the pipe wrench was a different project) I bought the pads maybe 2 years ago when I passed 45k-ish miles miles (previous F-150's have eaten them) but after looking closer decided it wasn't time yet. The OEM pads on this one shed almost zero...

I know what you were saying. The other reason I didn't go all out was to separate them so I can just heat the larger of the two spaces. I added a door to that pass through area. I am going to the new place on Tuesday and hope to see the floors done. It's 3 hours away from where I am...

Why not use luxury vinyl for garage floor?

The guy asked the question in his one and only post 2 months ago and hasn't been seen since the day after.

    First time building

If the slab is 22 wide, you will have significantly less than 2 feet each side (beyond the door) on the inside...walls have thickness. Then again, you also don't park at the very extreme edge of the garage door. I've lived with two big vehicles in a space that small and with even a little...

    Secure your toolbox

This isn't a thread started by an "office person" now is it? Maybe it's because I've worked mostly in offices with engineers, research scientists and manufacturing related positions, but I don't think your stereotype holds even a tiny bit of water. Of course there are those who are and are...

Above 1200 Sq/FT Logical's 2300 sq ft garages with attached home

The side entry bays are just for the daily drivers and motorcycles. When I was working on the design, I couldn't think of any reason I'd need to move anything wider than 3 feet from one to the other without going out onto the driveway apron. I do my best to keep the vehicle count at 4.

$9K installed quote for a tuxedo lift what are they thinking!!

I'm not here to police what you can or can't think or post...that's someone else's preoccupation here. But I think you are mistaken in thinking this is a DIY only Forum. I DIY more than most of the population but I also trade my time for money and my money for time. I always came here...

Here's a picture of it (the front facing bays) looking pretty much exactly like it did two weeks ago 😬. Actually, builder and subs are pretty much done with their part. Hoping to get my flooring guy in before the end of May and start moving in first week of June.

Above 1200 Sq/FT Logical's 2300 sq ft garages with attached home

Looking back, I see that 4 months ago I was 2 months away from finishing. 🤔 Winter weather pretty much stalled the outside work for the past 5 months, so we didn't push too hard on the inside. Over the last few weeks we got around to trim, paint, door openers, fans, heat, sink and lighting in...

About to pull the trigger on polyaspartic coating for new build.

It's obviously going to depend on where you are, but in SE Michigan and NW Ohio, for the floor system you posted, it is about $5/sq.ft. if they are busy and $4/sq.ft. if they are hungry.
