Water heater type for new house 1800 sq ft , 2 people,

I went with the Rheem Hybrid Heat Pump water heater and it's been great. Set it and forget it, my electric bill dropped even going from a 40 gallon to 80 gallon hot water heater.

What to include, new build home

Wire for surround sound in whatever you plan to use for a TV room. as well have electric behind where the tv will mount. I know wireless has come a long way, but I'd still run CAT6 to the main rooms and I'd also run wire for cameras outside if you think you may ever go that route.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Wasn't my garage this time, but my buddy needed some help in his body shop so I went up for a couple of days. I worked on my own Durango for a bit to put the front end back together. I worked on both passenger doors, fender and a bumper for a new GMC Diesel. He's getting ready to head to...

vegetable garden near automotive paint booth?

If it's a shop that paints on occasion it should be fine, but if it's a body shop that paints pretty much daily, I'd look elsewhere. My buddy owns a body shop and even with filters on everything, you still get paint on everything where it's vented out.

Should I insulate the ceiling in my detached garage?

It will help a lot. My garage walls and ceiling are insulated, it makes a world of difference. I even insulated my shed/wood shop to help control the temperature. I just deal with the wood shop heat in the summer, but I do heat it in the winter with a small space heater with no problem.

Building a deck over a shed question

I would keep it separate and I'd definitely build stairs. I'd build it to make it easy to access to make it use it more often. If it were me, I'd even build it so I could add a roof over it

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

They don't make them, they are made my MTD. That one looks pretty much identical to my mom's Cub Cadet. She hasn't had a bit of trouble with it, so I wouldn't knock them.,

Keeping rain water from under deck

If it were me, I'd put the roof over the deck and then it's dry as well. I built a roof over my back porch not long after I bought the house.

    Shelving

2x4's and plywood make for great shelves. That way you can make it to fit exactly what you need. I built shelves in my shed after measuring the items I needed to put on them and made it all the height I needed.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Bought a set of cheap wheels for my little car that I beat down 270 toward DC. One of them was curbed up pretty good and the main reason I bought them was to pain them because the bright silver wheels that came on it just don't look right on red. I want to paint them some kind of medium gray...
