What you want to do is to give the saw a good coat of Johnson's Paste wax, and buy one of the covers that Woodcraft sells. They make one that is designed for covering shop tools in order to prevent rust. The one I am talking about will keep moisture from entering through the cover, but still...

Also, if you have any that are damaged, there is a very good chance that Snap-On will still have them. I just went through my box a little while back and they still had all the slides for mine (of both styles)
