    Fix crossthreaded, threads?

Years ago I bought some thread restorer from locktite. It was a two part mix, some granular stuff mixed with the epoxy. So I mixed it up, and stuffed in them buggered up hole. Put the screws in lightly torqued. Had quite a bit left over, it never hardened, wtf. A few weeks later I happened to...

Desiccant beads in close contact with machine tools

I had a similar problem with my autobody dollys rusting. I have them polished up pretty well. I ended up putting them in an airtight plastic container. Lightly oiled and throw in a few camphor tablets. You could throw in some desiccant bags and oxygen absorbers and i bet rust would never be an...

    Rust Removal

I just found this video today, making a gel with the citric solution and cornstarch. You could store this in a jar, when it’s hot, put the sealed lid on. When it’s cooled it will be in a slight vacuum like a canning jar. It will stay fresh until it’s opened. I had tried making a cornstarch gel...

Build New or Repair/Restore Garage? Seeking advice...

I had a problem with my roll up door having a big long gap due to the driveway pour. I made a filler from pressure treated lumber ( 1/2 thick) that I attached to the door bottom. I traced it out against the driveway and cut to fit. Then I put some stick on weatherstriiping foam tape on the...

    File handles deserve respect, too!

Yep they have teeth like that, they are for sheetmetal panelbeating work, but I use them only on metal, not on or bondo or bog as it’s called here. The files have countersunk holes at each end that I use drywall screws on.
