Bill it’s a vacuum type carb ,there is not a lot going on there other than the jet which is clear .the plastic gas feeder tube which is clear I have gas at the spark plug . I have compression ,gas & fire . As I say it burps like it going to go but nothing

yeah I took the rubber collar off before Emerson . The plastic gas tube was not removable The rest of the carb is metal

I took the carb off - the two hp is completely different than the three . This has one plastic tube for gas , no diaphragm or springs .I have it in the cleaner cooking ,the jet is clear I need to source some gaskets etc for this ,I can’t see what else I need

Ok I finally sourced the plunger . The old one was frozen In from years of neglect The new plunger is working as intended .Before putting it back I ordered new points etc. The “kit “

I acquired a 2hp lawn edger with a 2hp Briggs - 060102-0429-01 I thought the points were stuck ,no luck it seems the rod which moves the points from the crank is defective . Would anyone know the part number ? terry

I put the air cleaner in ,pulled it and away it started immediately !

In one of my wiser moments I decide to change the oil in my compressor . Unfortunately I am unable to seal the pump to hold oil from seeping from the drain plug . I have tried plumbers tape and plumber’s blue goop can’t remember the name . Is there stuff I can use that will hold the seal under...

The air filter seems to be the touch ,ran for 30 minutes today with no issues .

I’ve got it running - full to 3/4 choke only . I pulled the carb again ,cleaned everything again checked the screen & removed idle jet and cleaned again etc . Am I missing something

I don’t seem to have oil seepage . One of the contributors to this thread suggested someone had tipped the motor which caused crankcase oil to seep in

This coil came with two wires one for the kill switch one for the points . I put fresh points in also as the the entire area was oil soaked. To connect the wire to the points . The plunger is the pivot pt for the points

Ok ,it is the pin balances the long movable arm of the points . I checked it is moveable ,but I didn’t look or notice a wear line But I do have a good spark ,so I will leave it buttoned up . I will source one to keep on the ready thanks for the help terry

Question for today day . I am changing the coil . Instructions say change the plunger plug . Where would I find the plug .
