I'm curious also if it's an internal or external pump?

Want to run a mig welder off inverter off truck battery.

We have a mechanic on our offroad team that has an old self contained battery powered Flux/mig welder (I think Hobart). It works badass. He's done some legit work in the middle of the night in the desert of Mexico to get us home.

Icon Snap on long nose talon pliers coming out soon?

Sounds like the one by me. I literally just walked into the management office the other day when I couldn't find someone to show me where an "in stock" item was.....the look on the 3 people's faces was priceless.

The GDS Skunkworks, 4 FN 27's Shop Projects

We run a spec race class using the LS3 crate motor from GM and they are good motors. The motors have to be sealed/tagged by an approved engine builder, but from what I've been told the only real issues noted are inconsistent torquing of the rod bolts/mains. I think the factories have equipment...

    Harbor Freight Coupon Thread

I think this is ~17% off, but there are rumors on the Youtube they are going to do an ITC club 25% of Icon Storage on Jan 29th. Plus the CC 10% could be stacked on that. A pretty solid deal. Finally, these Icon boxes are priced where they should be.

Astro Tools 658 Stubby Slide Hammer

I think Tekton has the best website for purchasing any product I've ever come across, regardless of industry. Easy to navigate and they include damn near every spec a person could ask for. I guess the same can be said for McMaster, although that's like Tekton's on steroids......

Williams wobble extensions no longer us made?

I'm all about made in USA tools, but just last week I got a set of Icon wobbles for the same reason mentioned above, that they have knurling on them. My first Icon purchase, and I feel like they were a solid buy. The same week I spent $175 on Proto locking extensions, so I will spend the money...

I'm super stoked on these! I've been looking for some organizers and came across "FDM Operations". I ordered up a set of their wrench racks and their plier organizer to try before I commit to a system. The 3D printing looks well done, and both products are very efficient with their use of space...

quality low profile flex head tools

Have you tried experimenting with packing one of your current wrenches with grease? My theory is if it's packed full of grease, it will be trying to push grease out instead of allowing foreign debris in. Obviously, the mechanisms will only be so tolerant of being packed, but it might be worth a...

    rattle_snake's random shop projects v0.1

You really don't see many stepsides anymore. On top of that, all the good square bodies are getting snatched up by the guys that grew up in the 90's.

Carlyle (NAPA) 3 Pc. Wire Stripper Pliers Set (Includes WSCCP) - $42.60 (was $141.99)

I don't know about "all" of them, but this particular plier set did say it carried a Lifetime Warranty on the package.

Milwaukee or Icon combo wrenches? Milwaukee is set about $100 cheaper

Exactly, it takes far longer to warranty a tool than it does to break a bolt loose with a regular box end and then switch to the ratcheting wrench. Granted, I don't make my living at it.

They show a tray, but come in a fabric roll. I've had their 3/8" locking impact extension set...

I've been on a buying spree the last week. I'm looking to get new toolboxes, so I'm filling holes in my collection in order to best configure the boxes. I'm also upgrading some old stuff and moving others to a 2nd set of tools I'm putting together. Mostly NAPA pliers from the current catalog...

Ares sells a nice looking 5lb Taiwanese kit for the same money as the various Chinese kits.

Carlyle (NAPA) 3 Pc. Wire Stripper Pliers Set (Includes WSCCP) - $42.60 (was $141.99)

Made in Taiwan. Appear to be pretty decent. Not sure how they they stack up against Knipex, but I tried to get some relevant pics. The teeth look to be nicely ground. The nose of the pliers aren't super uniform, but I don't think that's even relative to this type of pliers.
