    Installing carpet from bulk

One online wholesale upholstery supplier is local so I picked up a nice grade carpet, and am happy with it. I do have that tape. And might use it? However its laying down very well. Its been sitting in the car for a few days. It was actually warm here the other day and I set it outside to heat...

Salt kills weeds better than Round-up (any downside???)

I wonder what effect salt would have on bugs and moles, if any? I live below street level so big rains would make using salt only an option in certain areas. Like around my shop. So I am considering salting those areas and using the torch/ round up/ vinegar and pulling which all ****.( LOL ) in...

    Lotos LTP5000D Plasma Cutter.

Set up for 220? Super curious about the 110 since I'll be starting with sheet metal. Want to add another 220 plug but that calls for wiring from the house panel to the shop panel and so on. Need it but hoping it can wait. :headscrat

    Lotos LTP5000D Plasma Cutter.

Am looking at this model. BellyUpFish and/or redsand187. Updates? I'd do a variety of new and rusty old sheet metal. Some thicker stuff but not too thick. One big issue for me is the ability to use the 110 option until I add another 220 circuit for the shop. Which I want to do but at this time...

    Installing carpet from bulk

I'll update with good or bad results. Maybe less detail if its bad. :D Having just used home and auto carpet I could see where the backing might form on home carpet with force but not with the auto. The home backing is rigid where auto is soft. Yes, I was hoping the heat gun would work but...

    Installing carpet from bulk

Certain projects make me want to give up cars as a hobby. Laying carpet is one. The front section will be (has been) easy. The back section where the rear passenger foot wells are is giving me fits. I have gotten some helpful advice on another forum. Just always a good idea to see if others can...

    Automotive body hole plugs

Looking for a quality assortment of body plugs. Have a few rotted ones as well as some holes I'm not ready to weld shut. I know I can get cheap sets but would rather pay a bit more and get good ones. Something like this (but bigger?) http://www.steelerubber.com/body-hole-plug-kit-20-2704-20...

Oxy / Acetylene set up question

Everything I read and watch suggests checking for leaks at the fittings but beside Ivory mixed with water I have found no other suggestions. (approved solution-whatever that is) Worst case I can wait til the weekday and stop by my LWS. Or run to Safeway and get Ivory? Willing to wait but sure...

Harbor Freight - 110v Metal Shear?

I've done new and used sheet metal 18G (new) with the second one. Not great but good. I'm satisfied for now. Almost like tin snips hold it just right and it whips right through.

water water everywhere, pole building leaks

Dry enough to snap a bunch of pics. Not that much in the way of needles. Considering the trees around the shop.
