    Recommend me Screwdrivers

I have been very happy with Wiha. Would like to try Wera and PB Swiss, but haven’t had the chance. As others mentioned, it varies based on your use and handle grip preference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Good Set of Diagonal Cutter Pliers and Screwdrivers ?

My votes: knipex with Irwin as a lower cost option. Wiha screwdrivers. Klein makes good tools, however the electrical distributor I used to work for stopped carrying them because their warranty coverage was poor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Up to $60 off each month for a year of your Direct TV service.

Just tried this and happy to report it worked :) I’ve been a customer about 18 months. First 12 was promo prices then bill raised dramatically so I changed to a lower priced plan. Called in today and the woman I spoke with was great. Lowered my bill $40 per month for 12 months + $5 per month...

    Groomsmen/Bestman Gift Ideas

A lot of great ideas/examples of gifts. My suggestion was my gift from my brother-in-law. He gave us a pelican flashlight. Great for around the house or as a backup in the truck (with lithium batteries).

    Home Depot Clearance Thread 2015

Just tried my store for the Dewalt miter saw and table saw. Also checked the pro desk app as described by another poster. Unfortunately 0 of either in Iowa stores. The miter saw showed $399... The table saw did show $75.02, but only stock showed 2 in Texas store.

Help Me Select Impact + Drill Set

I agree with the comments above. Handle them and see what you like. As another option, consider the 12 volt Dewalt sets. IMO they have plenty of power for a homeowner and are lighter to use.

    Floor drain?

I live in Iowa and like to see garage drains. Snow and ice can melt into the drain instead of freezing under the door. I'd recommend trench drains which are easier to slope into and can limit the issues described above with uneven floors.

Mac Tool Box Synchroglide Drawer Retention

Glad to hear. My dad really likes his and has the pressure set very low since he doesn't move the box. I'd like to have a macsmizer, but I got a great deal on a tech series and a snapon classic78 .

    Extech Multimeters/ Amp Clamps/ Cornwell

Fluke is my preference, but extech is more affordable with a lot of features. If you can justify fluke purchase one, but extech is their largest competitor so it should be a close replacement for a lower cost.

Mac Tool Box Synchroglide Drawer Retention

Are you wondering how to adjust the tension, or the mechanics behind it? My box isn't adjustable, but my dad owns a macsmizer that is. If you open the drawer all the way there are screws in the back corner of the drawer. These can be tightened or loosened to adjust the tension. I haven't pulled...

The first link is the model I use on my lawn mower. I keep it plugged in all the time.

Get Anything at Menard's 15% off sale?

Most of my home improvement shopping is at Menards. We have a lowes and a Home Depot near us, but I prefer Menards. I worked at Menards part time during college and full time after. They are flexible with college students and the pay was competitive or higher than most. It did teach me to find a...

    Most Versatile Cobra/Plier Wrench Size

A couple more things I forgot to mention. The week point of the styles you mention is the button used to adjust. I've seen several broken after a fall to the ground. You may want to look at the alligator style which doesn't have this week point or keep in mind you may need to warranty these...

    Most Versatile Cobra/Plier Wrench Size

The craftsman set is great for the cobra style at a cheap price. I also like the plier wrench style (not available from cman). Which won't round off nut/bolt heads as easy. 7" of either style is what I usually carry because they fit in my pocket easier.

    Let's see your Leatherman

I carry a leatherman everyday at work and home. I started with a Gerber because I liked the spring loaded pliers, however I broke the knife and when I tried to replace them I found Gerber's quality went down hill on their tools. As I looked for a replacement I realized leatherman has spring...

    looking for a flashlight

I'll second Sal's comments on head lamps. I have had zebralights on my work bump cap for years and everyone asks me where to buy them. The AA are good for a while, but do use batteries fast. The 602fw (flood neutral) is what I have now and is great, but the 18650 battery does require a special...
