If painting, Set up a condensate line using 1/2 or 3/4 pipe about 20 foot total length and add vertical drain pipe with gate/ball valve to drain water. needs a little slope for drainage. I like Sharpe filters, lots of other good ones. Regulators almost any quality brand. You should have a...

    44 Bikes Frame Shop

New to the group but really impressive as expected for a lot of industrial designers (my daughter is one among many I know). I used to work with a tool maker in north Georgia with a similar much larger structure in the woods and looking over a trout stream. No easy feat getting tools and...

Gotta build me a roof rack.

Cool racks, FYI, check out this sport truck system. No fork lift required for the cap and one man install. Easy Go and Stow at easygoandstow.com Very awesome touring kayaks. I look forward to spring time to get back on flat waters. Marine towers and craft are a key part of what I do all year.

    The 10'x11' garage, Madison069

Small but you can make it seem bigger. Center work table on large casters and strong enough for bench tools. Put your largest power tool in best corner for walking and compressor..etc. Small enough to do epoxy floor really economically. (Now is time) for that. user quality portable rollers on...

    Anyone good with fiberglass?

What weight material are you using. I'd check for lighter finer weave cloth with epoxy resins. Less sanding and smoother results. Marine and aircraft suppliers are good source.

    Grinder stands & cabinets

I would imagine mounting on tool boxes would be noisy from vibrating sheet metal? Search for a old Baldor or other industrial pedestal? New from McMaster or MSC Direct; another option is bench height drill press bases from big box or wood working stores. Very economical and sturdy. I have my...

Thanks, If I had not already been reaching out to Peterson Hydraulics, the hydraulic unit is something you perhaps could have helped with. Truly more opportunities later though as I do not have hones and specific tools plus all the valuable "know how" as yourself.

    Early USA BlackHawk jack

I tentatively identified a recent purchase of an older floor jack the seller described as a Walker 2 Ton. Apparently a 60’s-70’s later USA made BlackHawk SJ-2. Purchased to restore and use in my home shop. The original Sears colors of a lighter blue however considering colors closer to OEM...

    Fastening Sill plates to concrete

Tapcons..but just drill slightly deeper than screw for avoiding drill through. Use the drill that is supplied by Tapcon. They have a good website with info. Simple and quick. You need a hammer drill for best drilling.

    hello TGJ

Hello everyone, glad to have found this group. Just for fun is a photo of my recent tool rebuild..my early SPSU M.E. college class machined screw jack that needed attention. Threads, castings and swivels cleaned with Cortec rust remover (btw great safe green products), refinished and lubricated...
