Removing nails from a plank of wood

Nails are rusted solid in the wood. Hammering them backwards was not an option. What did you mean by "side cutters, pull and roll" Let's say you can not pull the nail all the way through the wood. Also, I don't think there is any way to push the nail out backwards. I started with a side...

What is the best cheapo home toolset?

Good to know. Weird that the Pittsburgh name would have such a bad socket quality. All my HF impact sockets have been great. I'll remove the link.

I love the feeling of lubricating a tight crusty old tool

That's what I am talking about. I love restoring old tools, and I knew others could relate. Ignore the stunted teenage trolls who don't get what we're talking about!

Thanks for all the ideas. It turns out, the wife already picked up an new socket set at the local store. It was sitting in one of the other drawers, as I was fiddling around trying to organize the pile of random loose sockets.

What is the best cheapo home toolset?

Vacation house has crappy scattered incomplete tools. Once in a while, I need them and its a joke. Missing sockets. I'd like a cheapo home tool set. I don't need ratchets. Mainly a clean set of sockets. I already have screwdrivers, hammer, ratchet, drill. Drill bit set is ****. I have...

Does my 7 year old HF jack need new seals?

Reading words doesn't work for me. I have no idea what a hydraulic unit is, or now to remove it. I'll just keep using the jack as is. Besides the slow bleed (no leak), the jack is an absolute tank. Here's to another 30 years.

Does my 7 year old HF jack need new seals?

Looks like people don't fix their jacks anymore. This was a wildly popular jack and there is little info on fixing it. I would need a step by step guide. Also, $40 for o-rings is a joke. I'd rather buy a new jack for $100 Will probably never do this, but the sag is annoying every time I change...

Topped off the fluid did not fix it. Bleed procedure did not fix it. Anyone here actually have experience fixing a jack? What is in a rebuild kit?
