Look at Diablo blades. Diablo makes great blades, and they fit everything from circ saws to cut off saws. Ive seen some of their vids and they look pretty good. They are reasonable priced. https://www.diablotools.com/explore/circular-saw-blades/?filters=tools%3ALow%2520RPM%2520Metal%2520Saw

    Canada Only Deals!

I was ranting in person to guys this morning about this topic. I was ranting that management at those companies are saying fast sites costs money, having AI software costs money, etc etc. LOOSING SALES HURTS PROFITS. I'll confess, I have tried Aliexpress, Temu, Vevor and two other ones that...

    Canada Only Deals!

Is it just me or do Canadian Tire and Princess Auto sites ****? They are SLOW, I think they are powered by a couple of networked 386s. Their software doesn't even try to be intelligent. I was looking for a bench seat cover for my truck. It dragged up every page in their whole site that had...

    Snap-on KR-272 worth ?

I'd guess it was belting out good Hymn Book favorites based on the stickers on the door. I'd hate to work somewhere people were blasting out hymns.

    Well storage tank

That's why you need me as a friend, I witch stuff. With just coat hangers I can find Utilities ( metal based), old burning barrel dumps, and WATER. I had a property I wanted to subdivide. I needed to prove 2 new wells. The driller told me he had previously drilled 2 really ****** wells. I...

    Well storage tank

IT IS RIGHT ! That is why the cistern is in the house. A nice shower is 5 gpm. How do you think houses are built with wells that are not great? YOU PUMP OUT AND PRESSURIZE FROM YOUR CISTERN and replenish the cistern slowly from your well. I'd say 10% of the houses around here do it.

    Well storage tank

Well, because some wells can only be pumped at a low rate. I believe the legal minimum for a house is to have a 2 or 1.5 GPM well. That is a lot of water 2 x 60 minutes x 24 hours is = 2880 gallons per day. Nobody and I mean nobody will run a well that hard. but they will run it for 15-30...

Why are Makita Batteries so much more Expensive than Everybody Elses?

I am not a conspiracy guy but it's a fact that China has an Industrial Policy to own market segments. I believe a great example is Milwaukee in the elecric tool business. I drive around here and see lots of Milwaukee sales reps at all the big box stores. Their Sales overhead is huge, I...

I agree. The Proto box is a very nice purpose built box. It would be great if you had to store things in your box.

    Canada Only Deals!

I stopped into the PA south Calgary store. I guess it could be used as a toolbox, but I think it's more of a rolling parts room / workstation. I envision this being super useful to a semi trailer mechanic that rolls out to work on trailer and has air fittings, wire connector, light bulbs etc...

    Expendables - am I atypical?

I 100% agree with all of your post. Tools are a consumable - end of story. Some guys end up working for Snap-On part time to pay for their tool bill. Apprentices probably are giving 20+ % of their salary. In my garage I have a "tool room", "Parts Room", and "Supplies area". I don't have...

What is the best brand of GFCI receptacles.

Sorry for not responding earlier. The failing ones are leviton and in Leviton outside enclosures. The covers are a big fail. There was dirt **** and crud inside all boxes. The old type that had the spring loaded doors were great, but, no somebody thought they could boost sales by requiring...

What is the best brand of GFCI receptacles.

Currently, I have 6 GFCI receptacles dead OUTSIDE. They all have the modern type of cover. We built our house and all the same brand in the house have not failed. It will be expensive to replace them. My plan is to just "abandon" 2 of them just by removing them, maretting the wires and...

    Lost tools conspiracy

They're not lost. I saw something from snap on the other day that you could order stuff Camo colored. They're concealed. Snap on is pumping sales. The other thing is that the whole industry has made tools out of various forms and grades of iron - it corrodes (rusts) and goes back to basic...

    Understanding different type 2x4 wood

Jokingly in wood grades here, there is #1, #2, Stud, and firewood. Spruce stud grade here, has knots, blemishes and is really prone to warping. There has to be a reason the other is more expensive. I would go for it.

Maybe you're right. I confess, I skipped lots of post after the first few and didn't see the pic.. That is a very strong floor and there has to be a reason.
