    Good Times Bad Times...

Many are yes. I've been to the back of many a post office and once worked for UPS. It's amazing any of us get our packages. I once shipped something for a UPS driver. He taped that box like crazy. He knew...

    Good Times Bad Times...

That kind of **** really pisses me off. There's no excuse but such sellers usually find one. I pack my stuff tight (some complain too tight). Padding and tape are cheap in comparison to the consequences of skimping. Sorry, Bull. I hope the seller makes good on the sale.

So the Snap On guy came by the shop today...

Going into debt was one of the worst things I have ever done but we must each learn our own life lessons. If I can't pay cash now it stays where it is.

For once, I paid his asking price

Good one, Jack. I had some dealings with an old timer recently. I really enjoyed talking with him and even payed him a little more than he was asking. Sadly our time was ruined by a couple that could not get stuff cheap enough. They were just rabidly nickel and dimeing the guy. Drove...

Is there anything left for the Chinese to copy?

If there's nothing left to copy I'm sure we'll figure out something to sell them so that they can sell it back to us.

Perfect Example of Craftsman Warranty Being Abused, IMHO

Wow, only 20 years use out of a wood ruler. What a rip-off. What an ******. He exchanged well used tools, some that were not even Craftsman, for new ones and it was only a "pretty good experience." I'm glad he's lousy on camera lest someone gives him a show.

Help me buy a Hammer Drill

Bolster, I sold many BOSCH 11253VSR drills (and similar Bosch models) during my time at the pawn shop. Even the ones that were beat to **** still worked. You can get one on ebay for a fraction of retail cost and they have good resale value (having the original case helps too).

Blue-Point 100pc set looked good, but I couldn't take Taiwan home

On the Made In USA/Import Debate, I often deal in collectibles and recently picked up an old ViewMaster with reels (kids toy). The whole set was made in the US. I can't recall the last time I saw a mass market toy that was US made but not so long ago (reels are from the early 80s) it was common.

Blue-Point 100pc set looked good, but I couldn't take Taiwan home

Jack, We got that set in a couple of times at the shop I worked at. The case was decent (not great) but the tool quality was not on par with the price. If it didn't have the Blue-Point name you might mistake the set for any one of the better quality import brands that you would not consider...
