How long do you think the current gen milwaukee tools are gonna be around

As in the m12/m18 line being their primary line of cordless tools before something new comes out? 5 years? 10? 15!? There's so many good sales now but I'm having trouble buying tools I won't use frequently knowing they'll be outdated someday

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I'd go for a 3/8 impact since you don't have one. I've got the m12 fuel and that thing is powerfull for it's size. Good on most bolts up to 18mm. To give you an idea itll remove lug nuts on most cars but not always and often struggles.

    Milwaukee 2454-22 impact wrench kit

I've got 3/8" it's a good impact. The 1/4" is pretty much the same thing and equally powerful despite a lower torque rating.

Suggestions for "heirloom" sockets and wrenches, with 200 budget

Just wanna add that if you are going to buy expensive tools on a budget you might want to look into starting out with midlength sockets. Works for more applications than either shallow or deep alone as well as some shallow or deep won't. I use midlength 95% of the time they're my go to sockets...

    Air vs electric impact durability

I'm not that familiar with the design of either. Generally speaking, batteries aside, based on the design what will last longer a quality air impact or a quality brushless electric impact?
