Your good tools, your less good tools, what do you reach for?

I only buy snap on tools nowadays but I just hate getting them dirty. I have quite the collection but they are mounted in glass windowed cases around my garage. They don't get used though I do polish and admire them smuggishly quite often.

Are air impacts more or less likely to break a bolt?

95% of the time I use an impact its an electric impact. I've found when i do I am less likely to break a bolt. There have been several times I've had a ratchet/breaker bar on a bolt and can feel it starting to twist/shear and then get out an impact and zip it right off after a few hammers

1 High Value Cordless Impact Wrench for all Drive Sizes

The 1/2" high torque isn't practical for small stuff. Honestly if I could only get one I'd probably go for the m18 or m12 3/8" fuel impact wrench or m18 fuel impact driver. As far as the m12/m18 impact wrench go in 3/8" they are pretty damned close to each other in power I've tested them side...

    Milwaukee Battery impact gun M18

get a hex to 1/4" square, hex to 3/8" square, and hex to 1/2" square adapter. Those will allow you to use sockets. Then buy impact sockets. Most cars today are metric. I'd start with 1/4" deep, then 3/8" deep, then 1/2" deep. Once you have those get the shallows. Some people on here seem to...

Looking for a good quality mechanics seat.

I got a torin roller seat for 20 or 25 on amazon. Not as good as the whiteside's with the back support but you can't really beat it for the price and it's well built.

    Dewalt vs Bosch brushless impact

I'm gonna be a milwaukee fanboy and say go with the m12/m18 line That bosh square/hex is a good idea in theory but it really just looks like a 1/4" hex driver with a square drive around it. It won't touch a real 18v 1/2" impact like the milwuakee high torque. If you just want to keep it to one...

Die grinders - straight and right angle

I gotta say I've had horrible luck with HF grinders/cut off tools. First angle grinder crapped out in less than a year. Second one is going on a year and is about gone. Have a cut off tool from them that either has a bent shaft or extreme bearing play. My straight grinder is the same but less...

    Which deal to go for?

I'd take advantage of the 150 off buy/return deal through homedepot and go milwaukee fuel You can probably get the brushless version of all that stuff for around the same price. As far as impacts go the m18 high torque is one of the if not the strongest cordless impact on the market No...
