    g73 electric heater

I've got the exact same Dayton G73 unit as Harvero in the above post. Hooked mine up last week and it seems to be okay though I haven't put it to a real test yet as the temps are still not that low. Walked into the garage this morning, temperature reading of 47, turned the dial on the wall...

    Nail Gun

2nds on the Paslode. They make a sweet angled finish nailer for sure! Great not having to deal with an airline & compressor, especially when on a ladder!

    g73 electric heater

I've got my Dayton G73 in the garage waiting for me to get some time to install it. Install looks straight forward. Wondering how effective it is at heating your space as my space is a bit larger at 26' x 32' w/12' ceiling. I've got R19 in walls and ceiling and suspect I'll have to pick up a...

Coffee you're drinking in you garage?

Like a few others have said, "Peets" (Major Dickerson) rules in my garage and in the house as well. I like it strong so I usually add a extra few scoops to the mix as well. I used to have my brother ship the beans from Boston to NY before I could buy it locally....great stuff!!

    Propane Heat $$$$

Lots of helpful stuff, thanks. Need to take a look at these links and try to get an idea of cost. I know electric is usually more expensive ti heat with in the long run but I will only be needing to heat the garage on a very limited basis. The up front cost of $3-$3.5K+ for propane vs. $250 for...

    Propane Heat $$$$

Just finished crunching the numbers and realized I can't afford to heat my 26X32 garage/pole barn with propane. The setup, sealed combustion 60K Reznor/Modine unit plus LP piping into garage and storage tank will set me back more than I can afford, over $3k here in northeast. I'm starting to...

    Sealed Combustion Heater or Not

Hey Tom, which ebay seller did you buy from. What is the size of the area you are heating (insulated or not) and how cold are your winters as I'm trying to decide between a 45K & 60K unit. My winters are pretty cold as I'm in NY.

    Sealed Combustion Heater or Not

Been doing some research on propane heaters such as the ceiling mounted hang down units by Modine & Reznor. I'm leaning toward Reznor as they seem to make a very high quality heater with very few problems. I've got a 26' x 32' garage with 12' ceiling. I use the garage for some wood working as...

Where to buy 24" wide insulation

Insulated the roof of my pole barn this past weekend with 23" x 93" batts of R19. I purchased a total of 14 packages (5 batts per package) as well as 128 pieces of 24" Popper Vent. My garage is 26'W X 32'D and the roof is 8/12 pitch. Total cost for materials was right at $600. I try to stay...

    Builder Estimate for 23 x 32 garage!!

Do you have the option of a stand alone garage or does it have to be attached to the house? I ask because I'm just finishing up on a pole barn style garage in the Lower Hudson Valley and I used CB Structures who are located right down the road from you in Liverpool. They did a fantastic job...

    Farm Tek Ceiling fans

Anyone have some experience with Farm Tek ceiling fans? Looking to add 2-3 fans to my 26x32 2 bay garage w/12' walls. Probably limited to the 36" fans as I don't want to take much more room in the event I scrape up the cash for a nice 2 or 4 post lift. The fans would go between the two bays...

    Staining Board & Battan

Yeah normally I would go with the oil based product but I've heard the acrylic is just as good if not better. I was hoping to use a roller as that would speed things up for sure.

    OSB vs. Plywoo

Thanks for the response guys. Still waiting to hear back from the contractor as I'm trying to determine if the material shipped to the site was regular OSB or Advantech panels. Appears there is still a considerable price difference, the plywood being much more expensive.
