I think every tool on there is compared to the IR making 450, so it's pretty simple if you're interested in the 231 comparison. If a tool make 390 it's almost but not quite an IR 231. Plus I think he has like 20 bolts/nut, and no real way for the hydraulics to wear unless there's a leak

All these hypotheticals and assumptions from people just looking at a picture and supposing but haven't used these or the Hyper-Steps. You'll know it when you use it, that's all I have to say. I haven't opened the index for my regular cobalt drill bits in almost a year. It's not pixie dust...

All i know is our hyper-step set has a patent number and "additional patent pending" on it and these seem to have nadda. Good luck to them if that's the case

If so I wonder if it will actually be $250, not that it's an unreasonable price for "the best performing impact" out there. Just seems like AP is usually on the more reasonable end of pricing.

I'm not so sure, does AP even make full frame impact wrenches? The channel said they bought an OEM tools one that looked a spitting image to Eric's but the guts were all different and it didn't perform. If Eric's had it over a year now, where is it??:confused:

Yup, Europe, Asia all 3/8" 1/2" ect. I do wonder about 1/4" hex drive like on an impact driver, which I imagine follows as well but haven't seen for myself.

In my experience is you own any less than 8 different snap ring pliers, the one you need will ALWAYS be the one you decided not you also buy

If you say so. I was an avid OTC buyer until I needed a replacement part and got the 3rd degree. Mind you I was trying to BUY a part I messed up, not even warranty and they wanted me to prove I owned the kit and asked why I needed it, and asked how I was using it and that I shouldn't be doing...

Seems like the XC6.0 is still worth if if you need an extra battery either way

I feel it makes sense that the new mid-torque actually puts it in the middle between the compact and high torque power wise now, with the previous one the high torque was like twice the power which didn't make as much sense.

Hardox will kill everything eventually, but we use mag drills at low RPM with cutting lube and they've done well compared to the various old sets we've used. We were using some Mac ones before this and our guy just stopped warrantying them because every other week we've hand him 1 or 2.

We use a lot of stainless sheet metal and flame cut/hardened HARDOX at work and when we need to enlargen holes we've switched everything over to AP "Blue Steel" step bits.

I was on the fence about getting the Milwaukee 2564-22 right angle since I don't have M12 batteries currently, but that's $300. Just pulled the trigger on that AP 1834, at $200 I don't feel ripped off but we'll see how it does. I'll update after I use it.
