Advice on how to level slab

+ 1 for self levelling concrete. I helped someone do an extra large forya entrance with it. There was a dark slate tile border already in place it worked out real good. It never even dawned on me to use it for one of the two interior rooms I'm 1/3 into right now. For the smaller adjacent mud...

Thanks for sharing the tip. It will come in useful at some point. I often encounter audio components where the original silk screen has rubbed off over time. I haven't came up with a method to mimic that quite right yet. I got tool box pulls figured out though. Just make them. There are not...

I hear you friend. I've been pulling anywhere between 10 and 15 hour days average this week and last. Plus Saturdays and occasional Sundays. I work FT and recently got my business license for the first time. I've been doing custom work on cars and homes for some time. I already had my regular...

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

Very nice loyal buddies you have. Not to dampen any spirits or anything but we lost a golden to parvo before it had its second round of shots so he was still quite young at the time. Since then we've had many happy loyal dogs over the past 12 years.

You have more than a couple positive attributes that are apparent in your posts cutter. Mix them all in with a little talent and keep evolving your skills. I've seen a lot worse painters believe me. I can't picture a bad painter in you. The right attitude can go a long way. Keep a file for...

Where or what to mount huge vise on??

I think I did an okay job with a 13,000 rmp grinder. I got most of the dings out of the areas I left raw. One of those brushless Milwaukee die grinders is going on my xmas list for sure. I hope its okay to post a sneak peek here. I'll button up the mount on the weekend.

Yes he does nice work for sure. This is how I have to dry painted parts in Toronto atm. It gets nice and toasty inside with the doors closed 9o%. Smelly. So I got the boot outside

Yes agreed, you did good with this one. When any kind of craftsman says its a "slow process" it's usually a good sign. I'm working on a base for a chest. I went with a similar industrial grey from the factory. I had to build it all in first and make some locking doors from scratch. I'm happy...

Toolboxes have the perfect surface to practice on. Especially if you get in to air brushing too later down the road. I'm guessing you used some sort of acrylic enamel because you didn't mention any clear? But you mentioned levelling maybe you just forgot. Nothing wrong with spraying auto...

Moen bath faucets from the box stores...

I started going for the higher tier Moen with solid brass. Going right for the best stuff usually saves replacing the lower tier faucets multiple times. IE the shower faucet that was put in failed, as did the second one. I couldn't of expected more when I took it apart and realized main internal...

I like that original orange. Tremclad has one called 'real Orange'. I believe its American counterpart Rustolium calls it 'Orange peel'. I wasn't able to find it in the small tins. Every colour but the orange. Sadly I went against my 1st colour choice. I've painted countless things with the...

Where or what to mount huge vise on??

I apologize for overlooking your post. Your absolutely right, it wasn't the best casting. I figured that was someone's intention (re bondo) after I got peeling off the old paint.

Where or what to mount huge vise on??

I got most of the dings and unlevel casting off. I won't clear it, I'd have to remove more material then its really worth. Gloss black it will be. It goes with a setup I took on then decided to freshen up and personalize before I use it. Everything else got fresh paint. It would of looked like...

I live In between Toronto and Niagara on the lake. A little place called Port Credit Ontario. We shoe horned BBs in all kinds of things. The easiest are the second generation Camaros. Well earlier on in years they planned adequate room when the BBs were factory options. I knew I liked your...

^^^ I regret not buying a vice when my younger brother worked with Mac tools. I got a lot of tools and an very fine buck knifes and lights among other things. But no vice. I'm sure Mac has some real nice vices. Everything they sell is top of the heap on quality. I hope I don't start a Mac vs. ...

Same goes here. The same goes for canned food and produce that would otherwise go to compost and cattle feed. Companies I was connected to get rid of a lot when they get too greedy and over purchase stock. When cold storage comes for a premium. Often produce that isn't sold by the weekend is...

Modular Tool Boxes in the garage?

How do you like that modular flooring. Is it the modular stuff you can easily move and lay back down by the piece if one gets damaged? I actually considered using something like that in the basement pool table / rec / hangout cave.
