If your only planning on living there 6-8 years I would just use a hanging gas heater and run a gas line as others have said. The up front cost of the heater floor is going to be high. I'm doing it because I'm planning at least 30-40 years in my "forever shop".

If it's only going to be used in warmer weather you can create some storage space in between the wall studs if it's framed that way.

Lots of storage up on the walls at the ceiling would be my first piece of advice.

The prices moves a lot. An example would be some bad hurricanes down south driving up the price. I roofed my old house and was paying close to $15/sheet during summer months. It's down to $7 or $8 where I live right now.
