Good made in Australia dual indicator Warren and Brown torque wrenches. They do not ratchet, but if you can see the indicator- you don't need to hear it, if you can hear it, you don't need to see it and if you can neither see nor hear it, you can position your thumb so you can feel the pin pop...

They look real nice. Like the oxidised finish on the war years vintage SK tools.

Probably not exactly vintage SK, but was preowned, so not new. Seems I now own my first quality, classic and classy 3/8"drive ratchet. Before now, 3/8"stuff had been to me what perhaps 1/4"stuff is for most, not really used unless in the smaller sizes. So I have had a succession of mediocre...

Third photo gives it away, bottom of the ratchet handle there is a SA, so this tool is from "New Germany" KwaZulu - Natal, South Africa.

My favourite 3/4"ratchet. It is a Gedore, but not a German Gedore.

Access is not a problem and the rounded nut in question is less than 2"? Then I would be using a spanner. As access is not a problem, plenty of penetrating oil and heat will have been tried first, but if all else fails, this is where all those oddball old Whitworth type spanners come in handy-...

They are- but the SK look to be a bit further finished, bright chrome versus satin unpolished.

Agreed, so perhaps the 2070 applies to the patent and then the 20** was carried into the product range as a part number code? They would hardly apply for a new patent for each socket....... would they?
