    Rustoleum spray cans, high output=****

I had the same problem with the new tip clogging prematurely after plenty of shaking on a 65-75 degree day. I had to soak it in spirits and blow out with air just to finish the small rust patch job I was doing.

    Show me motorcycle mechanic tools

As has been mentioned, you need a carb synchronizer. I recommend the Morgan Carbtune due to the lack of toxic mercury and the fact thatit's made in England. It was reasonably priced even with shipping from the UK. http://www.carbtune.com/

    Carb Synchronizer suggestions.

For synchronizing carbs on what? I have a Morgan Carb-tune II that is made in England and is not mercury, dial gauge, or electronic. It uses calibrated stainless steel rods in the glass tubes. I use it on 4 cylinder motorcycles. It was reasonably priced including shipping from the UK.

    seeking Chop saw recommendation

I'm in Lancaster, Pa, and have easy access to all the big box stores and three H.F.s within 20 miles or so. I'm leaning towards returning the slightly crappy Craftsman and getting the equally crappy but useable HF for $80. I have about $78 cash into the Craftsman, so I'll get $140 back on a...

    seeking Chop saw recommendation

I need a chop saw for cutting up steel scrap to practice welding on. I know a metal cutting band saw or other metal cutting options are cleaner and better, but I'm on a budget. I had a $140 in gift cards and a $10 coupon for Sears, so I bought the only Craftsman model in stock. It retailed for...

Whats one thing you REALLY want for your Garage?

Three days ago, I was obsessing over Mig welders. Two days ago, I bought my first, a Hobart Handler 187. My ultimate dream would be a 3rd bay with high ceiling for a lift. Since we had an addition over the garage a year ago that greatly increased my mortgage, that's off the table for the...

    welding gas cylinder size

I finally took the plunge and bought a MIG welder. One of my life goals is to learn how to weld. I have looked into taking classes and I just can't do it with my work schedule. I can either wait until I retire in 12-16 years or teach myself. After much research, I bought a Hobart Handler 187 and...

    Import tools...

I grew up at the end of the cold war and qualified with an M-16 on Army ranges where the targets had red stars on their helmets. I am apolitical, but love the style of freedom that this country represents. They (the Chinese government, not it's people) might not be our enemies anymore, but they...

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

Picked this guy up yesterday after a 7hr round trip drive. He's 9 weeks old. Dad was a yellow lab/shepherd and mom was a dalmation/blue tick **** hound. We are still considering names, but it will likely be Sullivan (Sully) for the rural PA county we got him from.

    Mechanics / creeper seats

I have one that looks identical to those above, only mine says "Craftsman". They are probably all made in the same factory.

    Dayton G73 problem

Since this seems like the G-73 forum today, I'll throw this question out there. I installed one in my garage a week or so ago and have used it a few times. I expected the smell from the oil burning off the elements when new. However, mine makes an annoying squeal when the fan starts up that...

Faulty CFL? Look at this bulb.

My 2nd floor hallway light went out. It came back on when I touched it, but did not seem loose in the socket. It looks like it overheated. Needless to say, I replaced it, but would like to know how this could happen. The glass portion of the bulb turned from white to gray. It's a Commercial...

1.5 Ton Harbor Freight Racing Floor Jack - Any Good

I have the one in the picture and just used it to rotate tires on my 3500 lb Mustang. It's no substitute for my old Craftsman SUV floor jack, but it's so much lighter and I just use for our cars, not the Jeep or XTerra. It's a great second jack.

OK - what's the secret to keeping rattle can tips clear?

Immediately remove tip after use, wipe off front, and use air compressor blowgun to shoot clean air through it in the same direction the can sprays. Be sure to point it in a safe direction as a short spray of paint will come out. No clogged tips for me in years. I never liked wasting paint and...
