What would you do with all that vacation? My service calendar runs out at Dec 31 and I won't have all my 2024 vacation burnt by then. Carry over 5 weeks for '25 and add the 5 weeks for '26.

Mike, What is the application for these fittings where they aren't required to be DOT compliant?

Mike, Side grapple on your lift table? Lift and roll in the same operation? Not sure how high it could actually lift it but could it match up to your tailgate to slide it into the bed of the pickup for transport?

I was wondering about the transport. My Argon/CO2 for my MIG fits in my cross box for easy/safe(?) transport.

Hmmm, surprise to me to. I used to live in that neighborhood so I support them when I can.

Also, I made the front of mine a little lower than the back. Makes it bunch up less if you are sitting down. I also used a 2" strip of elastic velcro on each side to help "cinch" the waist band up. I didn't want any snaps/buckles on the sides so these lay flat and allow some take up. If I end...

I think you will enjoy the "puffy pants". I made something similar about 20 years ago as I got tired of getting cold working out in the elements. I used a wind-proof/waterproof fleece, it has a name but it is escaping me, and did something similar to what you made. Releasing side zipper on...

My pickup has a set of Cooper tires on it. 10 years old and about 15K total miles. Traction *****, they are riding super hard and create some noises I thought were differential bearings failing. My tire guy said the Coopers crack in the face of the tire between the lugs and not necessarily on...

Paint job looks good. You don't carry a spare tire in your truck? Or is it tucked in the bed?

    rattle_snake's random shop projects v0.1

I needed to recess the heads of some wood screws in a sheet of 1/8" aluminum. I used an 1/8" Stanley punch, 2 stop collars and a stepped hole in a 1/2" piece of steel and a 12 ton press. YMMV.

I was thinking a removable handle would be a nice add to your setup, but I was trying to save you the anguish of designing and building. All that seems to cut into your beer swilling time harassing the hired help.

Another scenario to noodle on: Trailer comes loose from the hitch and pops the breakaway system. Now the trailer is ideally locking up those tires with brakes to slow/stop the incoming accident. Would 2 wheels or 4 wheels be better? I have felt that 4 brakes are a bit more forgiving than just...

Interesting. We have a fleet of F150's with aluminum wheels and they tend to corrode on the rear axle typically where they flange against the steel axle stub out. Creates one heck of a time for low mass drivers if they have to change a tire out in the woods. Fleet mechanic usually relieves the...

I have one. I use it under the quad, motorbike to change tires, sleds and also put a platform on it to install a 4-speed/transfer case in my Bronco. Mini pallet jack with decent lift.
