    220 live line

Hey I did include only if your comfortable with it and said it wasn't the safest way. And yes I do agree it's not entirely safe. If you don't have a tester that you trust and don't have a secondary DMM it will work. I normally use a DMM or circuit tester but in a pinch I also use my fingers...

    220 live line

Easy way if you're comfortable with it is touch the 2 wires together, if they don't spark then maybe they aren't actually powered, if they spark then chances are you just tripped a breaker and you can go see which one it is. This isn't the safest way but effective.

I'm also interested in setting up some type of system that I can monitor with a DVR, what did you end up using? Is the cost pretty reasonable?

Some guidance for a first timer.

My ex bought a house with a small garage and even her small p/u didn't clear. I bumped out the front by 3', not the entire wall just about a 8' wide section and the height of her hood tall. I left the 2X4 on the concrete floor (even doubled it) to act as a tell to stop before she ran out of...

    Fastener Organization - Suggestions Needed

I had the same problem with Vidmar/Lista drawers and the dividers lifting up, I just resorted to using clear packing tape front/back of the divider that way screws wouldn't migrate. I also put pics on the divider in case so it's more obvious to the guys 'borrowing' parts from the drawers Pics...

    Gear wrench, OUCH

I don't have any x-beams but think they would be more comfortable, my question is when you put a heavy load on them I would think they would tend to bend? Any of you guys compared like 1/2" with 100ftlbs of torque behind it between the 2 and see if you get any deflection?

    Another Cordless Hammer

I was actually thinking of getting one for the G.F. because she wants to join in the fun but I think the humor would wear off and I would be frustrated watching her use the 'old style' cordless hammers. But you got to give it to her, she wants to help.

Can somebody school me on amp clamps?

If it's a new digital model don't worry about starting high, that was to protect the old analog style units (the good ones from the old days) plus if you're checking 1 wire at a time and they are going to your 15A or 20A bkr then the 20A setting should be correct. Make sure tips are clean and...
