    Yeah that old stuff is gotta go at the very least... no way I would even try to use it as it sits now just for lights! The way it rubs on the trim is just asking for an accident.

    Great picture! OK let me rephrase that.... can I run a 240v outlet off of the sub panel I install in the garage? Doesn't sound like it would be a problem but I've never had 240 outlets off of anything before.

    So we're getting ready to move and the house were looking at has an old (but nice!) 2.5 garage, that stands 15ft from the house. It also has the original wiring (not so nice) consisting of two wires running over antique insulators, through the siding, and to all the dim 60w bulbs with foil pie...

    Howdy from MI!
