    Why not try automotive door lock actuators? They're pretty cheap, here's a place that has them for $5.50 each. You'll need a switch, relays and a 12v power source to use them. Another idea is to go to the junk yard and get them out of cars. Just bring a 12v battery of a cordless drill to test to...
