I have that vise (if it's the 10" version) only it's a (drum roll, please) Columbian! Not quite identical which leads me to suspect yours is the 7" version. I use mine more than any other vise I have - would pick yours up for a spare at the right price as AmerMech alluded.

when I've encountered such things, I make the replacement metal flex, not Romex. Aluminum flex might still be vulnerable to a determined rodent, but probably doesn't taste very good. Steel is tougher and cheaper.
