I didn’t look for one prior to starting my build, but had the same thought yesterday. I’ve not bought anything for this project and it doesn’t look like I will need to. Does the satisfaction of diy cover my time and consumables? If I was retired and had nothing else to do, I would say yes.

I believe in having a dedicated set of tools per work area. That doesn’t mean dups of everything, but does for the commonly used things. And its a good excuse to upgrade, not that most if us here need an excuse.

I bought a set for use on my CJ7 but haven't used them yet. I caught some grief when asking here for opinions on them. As others stated above, they are surely better than the eyeball method I have been using the last 20 years and it’s a solid axle. None of that fancy IFS for me!

I have an older bandsaw that I bought from a friend and later noticed the lower guide was broken. It either wasn’t available or I didn’t use the right search terms, but I used jb weld to repair it. It took a couple of applications and some drilling, sanding and filing but worked great.

I ordered a few boxes from HD for home delivery but didn’t have good luck due to damage. i found it easier to ship to store and open it there. They get to see the damage first hand, I don’t have to deal with the return (if damaged) or the packing material (if not damaged).

Me too. I already had the crimper and other tools after repiping my basement. Quick, easy, leak free, and not expensive.
