That is definitely an unfortunate trend. Oh well, gotta work with what I have. Perhaps I'll make sure the garage is a good size for the next house :) There is a certain satisfaction that comes from optimizing layout to maximize usable space though.

At just 17.29 ft wide, it's probably the narrowest two car garage I've seen. The generally accepted minimum width for a 2 car garage is 18 ft. But I've researched this carefully and it is indeed possible to park 2 cars. This is the major motivation for getting everything off of the floor. You...

Thanks for the good words! What I do is I use slickdeals.net and set up an automatic alert for any deals matching "gladiator". So I get notified whenever there is a deal involving gladiator stuff, which usually comes from Sears.

Sliding is a must have IMHO. I got the 4310 in part because it is able to cut 12" wide materials :) My garage is small and space is at a premium, so I went for the 4310 instead of the 5312.
