I reread the op’s first post and it looks like I misread it since the op wants to do it but it is not required by the insurance. But I honestly would not be surprised if that would not be a loophole for them to deny you coverage.

We tried this for a while but storing things until you need them gets old very fast same with trying to sell stuff like that not even talking about when you do not have the space. We ended up giving what we did not want to the sups etc. But good that you could get some of the goodies.

I would talk to your insurance company and ask if they need that in writing.

Not all exterior walls are load bearing, do you know if that one is?

Is that floor/cinderblock wall load bearing? If not I would make an opening big enough to get comfortable in there and put a 2x header in there. If that floor is in the middle of a room or sees a lot of foot traffic I would go a bit over board with the header so you do not create of soft spot...

These are great and they also make a hd version with more metal involved but I never had an issue with the plastic ones. Gardena is a household name over in Germany and also still make a lot of stuff there. $10 at Home Depot.

GFCI’s are normally not considered back stabbed even it can look similar because they have plates that hold the wire securely in place instead of weak springs in regular receptacles.
