I'd like to buy the lift, would you throw the house in too?

Awesome garage, with tons of potential! for the back room, you have a lot of potential. You can check out what i am doing for some ideas and inspiration, as i have a similar situation Mine has a lean-to on the side of it, which i am using as a work shop. It has a small sand blast cabinet...

Picking up HF 44" tool box

I fit it in the back of my 2003 outback. I had to take the 4x4 legs for the fork lift/pallet jack forks off and lift it in with a table lift and pull it out with a motorcycle jack.. but it fit, with less than a centimeter of space on each side, and i was able to shut the rear hatch. If you...

    Are electricians that busy?

my rough guess is stuff probably comes up that pays more, bigger projects. bigger projects mean bigger money so they are jumping where money is. they probably can and want to do yours, but between projects. they probably cannot turn down the opportunity for bigger money so leave you hanging.

I have the same type of really old garage. heck i have the same lights even. Since its not supposed to hold weight or anything (i have always been told it shouldnt even hold sheet rock) I was thinking about putting up tyvec or fire retardant white canvas stapled to the trusses. this would...

building dream garage, need bucket list ideas

separate rooms/shops. one half a mechanic/car shop, the other half or a section for a wood or machine shop, or storage, or family stuff. I like to keep family stuff separate from car stuff, and my carpentry tools separate from car tools. separate work areas make like organized and sane.

    HF 44" toolchest to small?

i was a little disappointed when i filled mine up this weekend. its bigger than what i had, but if the drawers were just a little bit deeper (taller) it would be killer. the drawers are just too shallow imho.

It came with the garage when we moved here in august 2013. The house was built in 1895, and the garage in the early 1900s. I'm going to say it's probably 80-100 years old

    Lets see your workbench

its cool, but a few things bother me -location. i wish it was on the other side but its too damn heavy for me to move -space underneath. I wish i could roll stuff under it (like a cart, stool, floor jack etc) or have space under it for larger items. i can fit my jack stands under there...

So the wife is out of town visiting her mom, which left me home alone with the dogs. This along with the 45* weather on Saturday (a nice change from the freezing cold of winter) gave me a great opportunity to move everything over and organize the new tool box. I moved the old Aztec to go on...

Sorry for the delay, been way to cold to head out to the garage. There was only one foldable bar, on the left side. there are no signs that there was ever a support on the right side - no holes or anything. :)
