Finally got the 10" plier wrench with 0-2" jaws, so far they are 100% knipex quality.

Yeah, skinning a subfloor with 5/8" ply, using 1-5/8" deckmate screws, it will bury the head through both layers of ply if youre not careful. Been running it on the mid setting and it's much easier to control. With a 3/8" socket adapter it will run the s&*$ out of some big lag bolts though!

My old trusty 2650 felt like it was losing its balls recently. Actually the M18 tool that led me down the milwaukee path, several dozen tools amd thousands of dollars later. Needing a quick fix, picked up the 2853. Dare I say on high it's almost too much, especially with a 5.0 battery. But...

    Gas pipe issue

Sorry for the delay, been a crazy week. Got out there and verified with a caliper the cut is 0.082" deep. Plumber looked at it and he said just because of the location he would change it and not have to worry about it. Pretty much what I assumed. Just working out the scheduling now. Damn...

Bought the Packout 3 box set when they were first released in Nov 2017. Use it constantly and have zero regrets. Ended up with a one of the 15" totes and it's equally awesome.

    Gas pipe issue

100% it's live. The building is sub metered and I can see the meter run when I use things on this dedicated line. Thanks for the idea, but I'm not comfortable with using/installing CSST to bury it in a floor like this, even if the plumber suggested it and was certified to install it. Having...

    Gas pipe issue

Thanks guys, I'll get some pics next time i'm over there and throw a caliper on it to measure the cut. I decided to have a plumber take a look at it just for kicks and see if they have any alternate solutions to disassembling the system and replacing that section of pipe. But my gut feeling...

    Gas pipe issue

Hey guys, well in the midst of a remodel on a rental apartment and discovered a semi-serious issue. Pulled up the subfloor on the 2nd story and found a 1" black steel gas pipe. Problem is, it looks like at some point in the past it was "grooved" on the top side by a circular saw. Cut looks to...

CPO $50 off $200 Bosch Purchase

Bump this, it's back for black friday. Says it doesn't apply to laser or measuring tools, but it allowed me to apply it to a GLL3-330

I can't find a decent garden hose nozzle.

Got BonAire yesterday (stainless steel version), overall im pretty impressed. It's a pretty substantial piece and definitely feels like you cant kill it. Wish the threads on the adjuster head were tighter. Not that its loose and spins freely, but you can push the adjuster forward or...

    Looking for advice.

You're good to go. Pump sprayer, step ladder, big putty knife and a lot of elbow grease. There isn't any other way to do it. Oh and buy A LOT of plastic drop cloths, this stuff will make a mess like you can't imagine when it drys on the floor. If it's got several coats of paint, take the...

    Security Camera layout

And I have no interest in wifi cameras. Without a doubt i'd get it all setup and still be shopping a big boy system in a few months. Moving that kind of data i'd rather just POE CAT6 and be done with it. If I do this right it should be good to go for 10 years. I'm not the type that...

    Looking for advice.

When was it build? Tupically a hudson sprayer and water is all you need, then just lots of scraping with a 12" putty knife. One of my rentals was built in the 50s, all lath and plaster. And yep, popcorn ceiling texture done in plaster. Water did almost nothing to it. Fought through a...
