So has anyone tried the cordless finish nailers yet? Edit: I see it says coming May 2016. Any idea if we are able to place preorders?

    Do not buy...

My father in law bought the big set from HD and returned it within a week. The drill literally tried to set itself on fire lol.

    Blown up compressor tank

Well that's a damn presumptuous statement to make isn't it? How do you know what I require in my garage?

    Home Depot Clearance Thread 2016

What are you guys seeing the M18 Blower clearanced for?

    Blown up compressor tank

Wait... so you want to buy 4x's as many tanks and compressors, so you can run them at a lower pressure? When they are perfectly safe to operate at 170-200psi? And no, it doesn't create any more water if you work off equal volume. Heat yes, but this isn't the intake charge on a racecar, what...

No. The change due to temp would be out near 6 decimal places, nothing you could even notice, and they would change pretty similarly. As was said earlier, possibly condensation causing it to lock up.

If you get the M12, you'll probably end up using the big boy a lot more. The M18 3/8 is so good it really covers a lot of ground on the big one for everyday stuff. I have both and it would be a struggle having just one, but the big boy really doesn't get used a whole lot. But it's super nice...

The 2654 has been replaced, the updated version will be in HD soon. You can already order them online (I've had one since Dec). I use the compact impact 3/8 M18 impact MUCH more than the monster. The big one is cool, but it's overkill for most everything. The compact impact has no problem...

Any of you guys work through college?

As an engineer I can tell you, your last two years will be rough. Also, where are you going to school? It's hard to hold down a 9-5 job while going to engineering school, not a lot of night/weekend classes. That being said, I did it and so did most of my classmates, but worked nights and...

Don't think the one key is part of the promo either. Hope they don't force it on us.

    Where from?

Yeah, but my gen 2 3/8" impact already has 3 torque settings plus the 1 second cutoff. I guess I've learned to not be so ham fisted with the tools that it isn't even a concern. Anything I need torqued that accurately I would hit with a proper wrench anyway, regardless if the tool has a setting...

I intentionally got one without onekey, seems borderline useless and just more **** to break.

As a left handed guy, I'm quite happy with the blade placement. But I feel your pain, I have the same feeling for 90% of things in life hahaha.

For a DIY guy I might be officially part of the club. Few things: The Fuel 7-1/4" circular saw is 150% better than you even imagine it's going to be. Fuel Gen 2 3/8" impact is now my go to, and will handle 95% of what any home mechanic could possibly need. The full size 1/2" impact is a...
