The jack is a good idea, I did a ceiling myself once all alone, no problem at all. I was surprised how easy it went..

Keep the tape close to the edge, if you ever want to take the sign off, to paint or move, a long blade razor will cut (split) through the tape, and a little solvent will cut the adhesive after you remove the sign. Get the closed cell foam tape VHP, its great.

VHB (Very High Bond)tape, any sign supply shop will have it.. they put the chrome sheeting on those big gas tanker trucks with it..

So Im in our Local Re-Store store, thats a Habitat for humanity store for reclaimed stuff, like doors, windows furniture and stuff. Anyway, I saw a pile of tiles, they where Concrete, about 3/8 - 1/2" thick.. Smooth one side.. Heavy and real clean sharp edges, I think the tile was 4' X 4' ...

Curious about that Ipaint site, looks reasonable... Any one have any info, experience?

Putting a slab in my Barn, I have a few questions. It will be a 27 X 35' floor, Im pouring a 5" slab with rebar and wire screen 6" of crushed compacted clean stone, I will also have 6 mil plastic poly on the stone. Here is an issue I have, there is a 10X 15 section that was done years ago, ITS...

Any tips on preping and pouring slab, Im taking out about 12" from grade, filling with crushed stone about 8" and a 4" slab... Sound good?
