    I've been shopping...

I would like to congratulate you on your victory and good luck on the building of your garage--oops, storage building. I haven't had to deal with the city officials where I live here in Mass. but I operate the municipal access cable channel and get to watch everyone else deal with them. I...

Moisture meters.... anyone know anything about them?

That would be my guess too. Unless you check all the way through the wall you can't tell where the bulk of the moisture is.

    Yes another idea

I just got a reply from the admistrator of the Camry Forums and he says that the posting chart is automatic.

    Yes another idea

Right, but I did see on camryforums.com a posting chart. I don't know if it's an automatic type or if it's put up by an administrator. I've contacted an administrator to find out. I would think that vBulletin could answer the question as to whether or not they could provide the chart...

If you want to tell what your member number is, put your cursor over your name in one of your posts and look at the very bottom of the browser page. Your number shows up there at the end of the line.

    Power Strips

Just wanted to let you all know that in the October 2005 issue of HOT ROD MAG. they had a story about diamond-plate power strips. It has 10 outlets in a 48 inch strip and includes an integrated circuit breaker. Here's where to look: www.wiremold.com

    Where can I find...?

I don't have any help on the cover for the belts on the drill press but Krooser, the press on the right. I have that exact one. I inherited from my father. He used to work for MIT's Instrumentation Lab in Boston and one of the engineers needed money and my father took him up on it. The...

    Detailing My New Car Question

I agree with what everyone has been saying about prepping the car. That's most important. Everyone has their favorites when it comes to detailing products. Let me put another site on here for you to look at. http://www.bettercarcare.com/ This site much like detailcity.com has it's pros to...

    Light fixture advice please

Your statement brings back memories of the same type of problem I had quite a few years ago. Although I didn't have an issue with lighting I did have a problem with my appliances and electronics. When the voltage goes low like that (100 VAC) your asking for your appliances in your house to...

Need some Help new (to me)1200 square garage

I have to say that DynoDave and SBerry have the right idea about the pitched roof. If it's done right you'll never have to worry about a leaky roof again. With any kind of weather. Also with the space you can put your ventilation and possibly heating units up there. The glass block idea...

    Torque wrench calibration.

First of all thanks for your replies. Secondly, I think the wrench has to be at least 30 or forty years old. My father had it and I inherited it. I know that he didn't use it much and I to have not used it much. Probably three or four times in twenty years. Having mostly Toyotas in my...

    Bear Brake Equipment

I did a search on ASK JEEVES and got a few interesting hits. If nothing else you might be able to get info on the machine by contacting one or more of the companies that come up on the search. Greg

List your favorite Harbor Freight tool

I've got a set of mini-visegrip type pliers. You can tell that they are not of the quality of a brand name visegrip but they are solid. They're easy to unlock after use. I have a 4 inch needle nose visegrip and the ones from HF are actually better. I have quite a few tools from HF and have...

    6pt & 12pt Sockets

I agree with GearHead 1. Six are the standard set to get, but ther will come a time when you'll need the 12 point. And just like everything else in this world it's easier to buy both now than to wait and watch the prices go UP! Every once in a while you'll come across a 12 point bolt. I...

    Help with old Sears compressor.

Like BetterDays says try Sears. Go on to their web site and go into parts. Put the model number into the proper area and see what comes up. They're pretty good about having the parts lists and diagrams. Give a try. Nothing to loose everything to gain. I've had good luck finding parts for...
