    Lowes deals/sales/clearance

$299 for a Husqvarna 20" chainsaw, regular price $499. If they're available in your area. I bought one at NC store where my brother will pick it up. My local store would not honor the price and stuck with their $499 price. 20" Saw

Anyone done a DIY wheel alignment?

I did the alignment on my Camaro a few years back. The car continues to steer well and there's no noticeable tire wear. Documented the process here. DYI Alignment I still have the turn plates I made and would do it again because I like tinkering and learning.

Advance Auto just added nearly all Fram filters to their clearance

My Kubota diesel uses a NAPA 1064 oil filter. What's the Fram equivalent? My Google search doesn't give me a solid answer.

    Speed wrenches…anyone use them?

My thoughts: if the hex fastener is free spinning, which isn't unusual, these won't function correctly. The ratchet wrenches work just fine and make those obsolete.

    Engine Oil Hot Deals Permathread

It's not oil, but NAPA has discounted their Valvoline grease by about 40%. I'll pick up a few when I can get by there. NAPA Grease Edit: Yes, it is crazy how expensive grease has become even when it's discounted.

What Kind of Pliers Are These?

Could very well be. We were building machinery that included electronic devices. I was working on the mechanical side of the machines.

What Kind of Pliers Are These?

I rescued these from the scrap bin at work probably 35 years ago. Couldn't stand to see a cool tool get discarded but have yet determined their purpose. I figured either a spanner wrench or it's to depress a tab in something. There are no identification numbers or anything. Whatcha think?

    Water Heater Under Garage Sink

Yes, they do, I admit. I think I reused the plumbing & valves that came with the used 6-gallon water heater back then. My pipe sweating looks better than that. But they've held leak free for 20+ years, so I'll leave them alone.

    Water Heater Under Garage Sink

I received the "Used, but like new" Bosch 4-gallon water heater. It delivered in a stapled and taped factory box that had a little damage on one corner. A trim ring on top is cracked but won't hurt anything. Got it connected and it's working as it should. The outside of the heater isn't the...

    Water Heater Under Garage Sink

This morning, I ordered from Amazon a 4-gallon Bosch water heater. Their used, but like new condition option for $165. These are typically open box and maybe scratched, but otherwise okay. Bosch Water Heater I'll keep the water temp set higher than I did before to reduce the chance of...

    Water Heater Under Garage Sink

This will be used mostly for washing hands and arms. Occasionally I need a sink of hot water for washing something. The water heater that's now broken was set for ~ 100 degrees and I usually turned on only the hot water side when I washed up. So maybe a 2-gallon or 4-gallon water heater set...
