I found one mis-marked Plomb tool in all the years of collecting. It's easy to see how this could happen. It's labeled 5/8 but it's 11/16. A correct 5/8 is on the left.

I bought the Bonney hose clamp pliers when I was in trade school back in the mid-80s. Looks just like yours. They worked really well on the spring clamps we no longer use.

I'm not sure you want to "test" with it. It's a one-way street. The Evaporust lifts the Cad plating off and you'll see a yellow film on both the tool and the Evaporust. It takes a few days. I throw out the Evaporust after it encounters Cad tools. I'm sure there are better ways to identify...

There are two springs, two pawls, the selector and the selector switch. Then there's the drive gear, the back plate and two screws. No ball bearings. The springs push the pawls against the drive gear. The selector determines which one contacts the gear. Get a repair kit. You'll be all set.

This one's been listed a couple of times. I went to the first sale last month. Lots of old machinery that was kept in a barn which had never been cleaned. The woman running it thinks everything is gold plated. Prices on the machinery were ridiculously high.

Waterloo made the boxes for Proto. I don't know if they still do, but the Proto boxes I've had were all high quality. I wish it was a bottom box. I could use one of those.
