Another one for the spreadsheet. Prentiss No. 300 Anchorline. The smallest of this series. 1 1/4 inch jaws, 1 inch opening Weight: 13.5 ozs.

I like that display, especially the miniature workbench, good idea and nice collection. I wish I could tell you mine were displayed that well...but they aren’t. I’m somewhere between your first picture and the other two, probably closer to the last two. I’ll get some pictures up anyway.

A nice 2 inch Prentiss No. 160. Finish is bare metal and was in this condition when I found it. Weight is 4 lbs. 9 ozs. This is not on the spread sheet.

Here is a nice Millers Falls 1 1/2 in bench vise in decent shape except for the rather deep pitting on the handle and end of cylinder it goes through.

Here is the "big brother" to the one in the above post. This 2 inch no. 161 weighs in at 3 pounds 7 ozs. While G-P also made bench vises, these were the only table clamp vises available. After G-P's acquisition by Millers Falls, these two vises were incorporated into the M F offerings.

While one of the smaller tool companies, the Goodell-Pratt Company made some of the best tools available at the time. Their vises were no exception. The 1 inch no.160 is the smallest that they made, but as you can see from the pictures, it is quite well made. It weighs in at a surprising 1 pound...

Here’s a rather strange one. I don’t know why the jaws were constructed this way, but I’m sure the Wade Machinery Company in Boston had something in mind. Jaws are 7/8 inches wide and overall length is 7 3/8 inches.

Here are the last of my Stephens vises. While both are of the same patent, one has the handle for the hand vise the other a table clamp. Although there seem to be lots of ads for their lever vise, as of yet, I have not seen an advertisement for this vise.

Thanks Rusty, While I’ve seen catalog references to the no. 37 none of them showed any pictures so I had no idea it had an anvil. You learn something new every day.
