This saw 1-51 seems to small for a 24 inch bow bar. It is the same displacement as the 200,250. I will get it running and clean up the chain and try it out. I just love these old saws.

Went to the scrapyard today and I found several gems. A Mcculloch 1-51 and a small pioneer. The Mcculloch has a bowsaw bar, and it will go great at the shows with the 5-49 two man saw and others. If anyone needs parts for any saw, let me know.

Yea. My thread gauge says 18 x 5/8. Now my brace is a model 1 1/2 if that makes a difference.

That does add character. Are there split rivets on the back side?

Take a welder and build up the bad end with weld to about the original size of the length. And then grind it down to the right diameter and length. And then take a hack saw and cut a cross like mine. And after you slip the knob on, take a punch and mushroom the end like mine.

Where did you find the information on H.O. White?

Yes, mine is threaded. Just a drop of epoxy would hold it securely. Good metal epoxy.

Is it the design that says. H.O. White No 2 Brace? Or is there some indication of marks that says H.O. White? Tell me more.

It is a design to only take off once. I would take mig welder with some heat first, and build it up 1/2 inch, grind it down to original and then take a hack saw and cut a cross to mushroom out with your main screw.

I put them over in the Utica thread. I found a pair of Conks that were labeled wire cutters and benders. I can see the wire benders. Do you think Army Corp?
