Anyone bought a new SK set of sockets lately?

Lowes carries a fair amount of Ideal branded electronic tools. I think it would make sense to add a higher cost alternative to the house branded Kobalt stuff. I see Home Depot only offer Urrea items online, maybe the big box stores don't want ANY competition on the floor. I don't see that...

Snap On Socket Sets-new & slightly used.

Price dropped. Only thing left is the 3/8 set. The deep set is $239 on the snappy site, so this is like getting the shallow set for free. The sockets have never touched a fastener. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Walden Worcester and Herbrand info? with my other Pickups today.

Does anyone have a guess on the brand sticker on the black case? It looks like it was diamond shaped but the only diamond logo I can find is SK. I'm thinking perhaps a Duro case and they match the unmarked hex drive sockets?

Walden Worcester and Herbrand info? with my other Pickups today.

Here are the pics. I think there is an issue with the tapatalk image server. I did see that Herbrand tools marked "Fremont, O, USA were discontinued in the 60's. It must have been some very good chrome! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

For some reason, it's not loading for me either. Maybe it's an issue with the image hosting site. Let's see if I post a pic directly to GJ, if it makes a difference. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Walden Worcester and Herbrand info? with my other Pickups today.

I found a little on alloy artifacts last night. I can't find any info on the Herbrand item numbers, though. Also, these little hex drive knurled sockets have no identifying marks. I guess a few of the manufacturers had runs with no marks back then. I'll keep looking on AA to see if I can find a...

My take on an electrolysis tank!

I just attach the clip to the tool and drop it into the tank. It's not the prettiest way, but it works. FYI, you won't get any rust or reaction if the negative end is in the water. Just don't ask me why. This may help as a short term solution if your having trouble getting a connection through...

My take on an electrolysis tank!

I have a similar setup, but use rebar, and only have them one one half the container. This way I can lean wrenches, etc against the other side. A couple things I've noticed over my recent sessions: - I notice a decrease in efficacy after 48 hours or a couple rounds of tools, fresh water does...

WTB/WTT for Craftsman 1/2 drive EE Sockets.

I would like to build out a set of these. I don't believe all in the set are like this, perhaps just the ones without straight sides. Maybe even just the 1/2 shallow set? See pic for example. I currently have 1/2 drive in the following: SAE- 7/8 9/16 1/2 7/16 Met 10-17mm PM me with what...

Craftsman EE sockets. I like em.

Do any of you have a favorite series of craftsman sockets? Not based on history, just shape/milling, finish, etc? I have a few of these, and now am on a quest for more. They are 1/2 drive, and the smaller sizes have a brushed finish up top. Here are a few pics. If anyone has any of these, PM...

    Good, Solid-Performing Mid-Grade, Screwdrivers?

Has anyone used the Bahco thru blade screwdrivers? I guess they're not really mid priced, but they look awesome, especially the driving end caps.

Vintage SK wrench set find. Unknown identifying codes?

Very funny. I just put together a SAE/Metric vintage craftsman wrench set. I may put one of the sets up for sale/trade in the near future... It's a shame about the quality control with these. What with the mismatched initials and all...maybe someone sauced on the job?

Vintage SK wrench set find. Unknown identifying codes?

I picked this set up during a recent trip to an antique mall. It was dirty as heck, but As you can see they cleaned up nicely! It is a full 8-22mm set in a yellow roll. One question I have is about these raised initials on each wrench. They are different on each size, and are not stamped, they...
