Goodman 95% and 1.5 ton 14 seer quote

Apples and oranges, neither of you has given all of the details regarding those prices. Warrantys and other things all will have an affect on price. Goodman just like any other furnace manufacture has different levels of quality on their furnaces, from the bottom builders model to the flagship...

That is my most favoritest shed ever, I was in tears laughing so hard at the pictures and video of that shed being built.

    Major problem need advice asap

First get ducts installed, like fury9 said if its good now, it can be great. Then look into uv lights, and ozone. As far as filters, when I've got a client with MAJOR allergies I recommend the perfect 16 hepa. Definetly not cheap, but single pass hepa filtration and the filters typically last...

Low Bidder Hack AC Install, NEED ASSISTANCE!

Low Bidder Hack AC Install, NEED ASSISTANCE!

The ac lines are very easy to install straight and neat using correct hangers. When I see corners cut on the easy stuff that you can see, what corners did they cut that are not so easy to see, did they triple evacuate the lines? Sweep with nitrogen while brazing so you don't get oxidation inside...

Low Bidder Hack AC Install, NEED ASSISTANCE!

Wow I hope you had some vasoline cause you got boned. I would suggest getting a real HVAC company to give you an estimate for fixing your brand new ac and then call the insurance company or warranty or whoever paid for that mess. Try and get them to pay for the repairs or else your going to have...

Thermostat has no voltage (Heating Only)

Why did you replace the transformer? Blinking light on the board can't happen if it doesn't have any power. Which wires are you jumping out? Hopefully the fuse did its job and prevented you from doing any damage to the control board, but they are pretty sensitive electronics. I suggest you call...

Thermostat has no voltage (Heating Only)

Is the inducer fan running, hard to see but it looks like your missing the vacuum hose that connects to the pressure switch. Look for voltage between r and c, should be close to 24 volts ac. Turn the power off and spin the blower by hand, it should be very easy to spin and keep going for a few...

Why no air flow through home registers after running AC for a couple hours?

The avg lifespan is 15 years. Energystars website recommends replacement at 15 just for efficiency reasons. Yes leaks can be fixed, but by the time you spend all that money on repairs, how long before it needs more repairs. Yes r22 is still available but it is being phased out. The switch in...

    NG Furnace - What happens?

https://www.horticulturesource.com/images/cache/large_thumbnail/fa465infopic2.jpg As long as your fan coil uses this type of fan, then yes, you've got exactly the application these motors were designed for.

    NG Furnace - What happens?

Yep ecm motor, you've got the factory one that needs input from the furnace main board. The x13 one I posted the link to is the aftermarket upgrade that replaces a psc (permanent split capacitor) motor, no input from the main board and can be put in almost any furnace.

    NG Furnace - What happens?

http://www.genteqmotors.com/products/genteq/x13/ Not a dc motor, just an electronicly controlled motor. This type of motor comes as OEM in lots of furnaces and that's probably what you've got hoosier.

    NG Furnace - What happens?

Modern furnaces in standby (as in still on but not heating or cooling) use very little power. Similar to the amount of power used by a cell phone charger that's plugged in to the wall but not the phone. I think its called parasitic loss. True cutting all power will save a few cents and it is...

    Noise from heating system.

The filter is there to keep the furnace clean. Not to clean the air in the house. Running without a filter in a high efficiency furnace will cause a lot of long term problems and will severely shorten the life of the furnace. So many people focus only on the box when the "HVAC system" needs to...

    Noise from heating system.

I couldnt get the video to work but from the description and the filter looking like its halfway out, does sliding the filter in and out change the sound? I have run into this sort of thing before, I'm guessing you have a variable speed fan motor, they vary speed to get the right amount of air...

HVAC Anyone else have hot plate ignitor problems with their home heating equipment?

If the bracket allows it to fit in the correct place, a 24 volt relay. Or the boiler could be rewired using a spark ignition controller. But I think it might be easier just to get a couple extra igniters, make sure the boiler is lighting on one cycle of the igniter. Short cycling or multiple...
