Yeah suffice it to say I did unwind both primary and secondary. Primary was originally center tapped so the unwinding process broke the wire at the tapped point. I mean.. I could still likely solder it and wind it entirely back to how to was, maybe. So if Im understanding correctly, if you...

Craftsman band saw.. missing the motor and a couple of case knobs. I haven't tried looking up the serial yet, but I don;t recall ever seeing a bandsaw with an aluminum or pot metal shell.

True but.. are you saying that the more expensive windows built from metal or wood are better insulated? Like, is that a thing?
