    2-Post lift talks again...

After much research this is the one I'm leaning towards as well. I'm curious though if you have it set up in the wide position and if so have you had any issues lifting smaller vehicles? I came across someone stating such in a youtube comment but wonder if its really an issue?

    Two Post Lift

Derek Weaver has a certified 10k with three stage front arms for under 3k shipped. Been doing a ton of research and this I the one I'm pulling the trigger on once I finish a few other projects.

Finally pulled the trigger on a lift

Thanks for the update! I've been following as this is the lift I'm going to buy once I make sure I don't owe the government too much tax money. I was curious about the instructions as well.

    Gas cans

Personally I like the blue water cans from Menards paired up with the EZ pour spout kit located in the same isle. The water cans are nice cause they come in 6 gallon instead of 5 that the actual red gas cans are. Best part being that even though the can says "water" on the side is still has...

Help with what this is? Electronic filter

My grandfather had a old truck stereo sitting on the shelf that he listened to while woodworking. The stereo was attached to an old car battery so I wonder if he was using it to get rid of electrical interference from the belt sanders/planers and such? So with the three wires would it be...

Help with what this is? Electronic filter

Yep, I came across the PDF's online but they didn't match up to well to what I had. Here are some pics of the internals, not much for controls.

Help with what this is? Electronic filter

My aunt was pulling some items out of my grandfathers old shop and asked me if I know what this was. She was going to toss it into the trash but my curiosity got the best of me. The only markings are what are pictured on the decal and a little googling of the PN brings up some PDF's but the...

    Water-hose reel dilemma

Hmmm that Eley looks very tempting and I wasn't even in the marker for one. Looking over their website though its pretty disappointing that its made in China, for a high quality and higher priced tool I would rather it be made here!

    2-post lift up and running

Very nice indeed! I've been thinking about the same model but was curious what determines when a 2 stage vs 3 stage arm is needed? Are there any vehicles that you have been unable to lift with the two stage?

Price of copper vs black iron

I just did my garage air lines and was planning on doing black pipe but after adding up the cost of all the fittings 3/4 Copper L pipe was cheaper. No brainer considering copper won't rust inside out, has excellent heat transfer, plus I saved on threading all that pipe! Couple pics, one at the...

Garage water heater and hydraulic force

I was wondering if something like this would be all I need, as now I'm liquid full and as we all know I cant compress a liquid. I also do know that a small vapor space goes along way, just leave a little air in your brake lines and see what happens. With that said I think I going to play it...

Garage water heater and hydraulic force

It is probably 25' from the water heater to where the fitting come loose. And that is a good point with the clamps, this connection only had one clamp when I swore I had two when I did the install. No expansion tank but that is an idea. What I'm unsure of is how much volume I would need? In...

Garage water heater and hydraulic force

Well yesterday had a little water issue in my barn now I'm looking at ideas for limiting pressure. For my barn water supply I have a run of ~250' 1" black poly pipe from my house to my barn, at the house is a back flow preventer. The pipe runs up into the wall of the barn and T's into pex...

I've been planning on doing a motion light inside the garage just for security reasons but would love to know more about a siren? Do you have any pics or links?

Neighbor wanting to build close or on my property.

Just wondered if some people don't bother even reading the thread, Madosta posted a page or two ago that the survey had already been completed!:dunno: ;) I think the gift card is a great idea, a small price to pay for all the possible headaches that were just avoided!

    Any caulking recommendations?

Huh, just had to google dripless caulk gun as I had never heard of that. Add that to the list of things I need to buy that I heard about on GJ.

    Craigslist idiots.

This is exactly how I do it as well. I don't know how many times when selling snowmobiles on C-list that I get an email asking if the "bike" is still for sale? Been riding lots of years and have never heard a sled called a bike. Its an excellent way to filter people who will just waste your...
