We're making progress inspite of the weather.

Picked up my lumber package today and ordered my roll up doors. I got the snow blown off my slab yesterday and framing starts Monday.

So, I ended up going with both. I found that for my tubing lay out, I needed the mesh to tie off to and went ahead and put the rebar in for extra support since I had already paid for it. The bar is on 18" centers and the mesh is 6". Should be plenty stout for what I'm doing.

I'll take both 3/8" snap on ratchets if still available. Pm me if so. Jason

I'm a one man operation. The most that would happen would be the welder, compressor and freezer running at the same time if the stars aligned just right.

I'm gathering info and materials before I start my shop and power has to start on the first of the list so, what will I need? I will be powering 40 x 40 shop 220 air compressor 220 welders (mig/tig/stick) which can be unplugged until needed assorted grinders, drill press power tools etc... deep...

Rebar it is. I talked to a few guys who have actually sprung for overkill and done both. Mainly for keeping the pex tube from floating and running into issues when cutting. Off to get my steel.

I did a search and was unable to find what I needed. My question is now that I'm lining things up for my new/first pour, should I use rebar or mesh? Both would/will be put on 2" chairs with the pex underneath, but I have to assume that the weight of people walking on the mesh while pouring and...

I was thinking the same thing. Guys are walking around on the mesh which is supported by chairs while pouring. Also, seems like the mesh would not spring back up where not supported once the weight of the mud was on it. I'm trying to decide between mesh and rebar right now.
