Ever seen one of these, but one that actually works?

The plug on that probably has a current limiting circuit built into it. You could try replacing that with a larger power supply. look for a universal dc power supply, you should ba able to find one for ~$20.

I'm no expert, but my favorite lathe at the tech school is a Summit 14. There are 2 there out of probably 20 or so different lathes. Really easy to set up, and opperate.

    I need a gear reduction I think...??

Posibly door window moters out of a car, they should already have the gear reduction on them. If you use the wiper control circuit with them you can adjust the speed.

if you mean angle grinder we can agree, but just incase, off-hand grinder = pedestal grinder, and gloves should not be worn.

    Air compressor explosion

It's unlikely that the blowout valve or the pressure switch alone would cause this problem. A pump with an 8.5:1 compression ratio could not pump much over 125 psia (110 psig). 12:1 compression ratio gets 177 psia etc. (Boyle's law) Most tank are tested to well over this when they are...

Any way to fix sprung adjustable wrench?

I would agree with the 'soft' comment. That looks like an explosive/spark proof wrench by the color of it.

    Who does this ****?

Where I work, Last week 2 customers bought snowblowers before the big storm in Nebraska, and returned them the day after the snow was done. Also you would be amazed at how often people bring back mowers & snowblowers because they quit working the first time they used it, and the bottle of oil...

    Circular saw blade storage?

Here is what I built. Made it with scrap I had laying around one day a few months ago. So you could make a better one if you buy lumber for it. Also one of the slot seperators is a blade still in its plasic liner because I ran out of OSB. the Blades on the right are 14" for size refrance.

Some days you wished you just stayed in bed

I have a dodge pickup with a Magnum 5.9. Some of you are probably aware of the plenum gasket problem associated with the Magnum engines. Anyway I had the truck backed into the garage with the hood up, and the garage door open. And like the OP the door opener in my pocket. I had decided that...
